Scout's condescending attitude and dramatic/nasty voting confessionals <3 Shambo's epic feud with Laura, and all her laffos quotes <3 BTW Scout was robbed in Vanuatu, she would probably have won the game if the final IC wasn't based on upper body strength (Chris lacks balance and is fat, while Twila rocked the other endurance earlier IIRC)

Someone should make a video out of it, and include all the times she said 'hmm-hnmm'. Good list so far.

So cute, right? Wanda is such a Survivor legend, you guys. If there was any Survivor who deserved a second chance, it's her. Let's face it, even though she was only on the show for about ten minutes, and was only on the island for a day and a half, Wanda was one of the biggest characters of Palau. She is also one of the only Survivors who I will say was actually screwed. Sure, plenty of people have started the game with a disadvantage, especially old women. That's not unfair; that's part of the game. But Wanda never got to play the game. The game is about voting out people and surviving each Tribal Council until you are the last person remaining. It is not about looking impressive enough to survive a schoolyard pick. Now, I'm not saying Wanda would have lasted long if Ibrehem had picked her instead of Angie. She would probably have been the first boot from Ulong. But imagine if she had gotten placed on Koror? If Caryn and Katie didn't slow them (and by them, I mean Tom Westman) down, then I doubt Wanda would have, and if she could have survived the double boot, the woman would have made the merge, and then she was probably in a good situation to make it far (since most hags who make the merge seem to at least have an F4 spot unless they implode). I'll admit, it probably seems stupid to place Wanda so high, since she really wasn't around that long. But for the majority of the time we saw her out in Palau, she was singing. In fact, she only said two things: her one confessional and the one answer to Jeff's question when she was a second away from being eliminated. She was an OTTP old lady who everyone cried for as she was sent off into the sunset. She had the most heroic first boot ever (yeah, I know Jonathan Libby shared the same unfair fate, but no one cares about him, right?)

I know she was strong with Jolanda, but do you know who else she may have been tight with? I believe her plan was to assemble an allaince that varied in age and gender, but I don't remember ever hearing about anyone she included other than Jolanda. It's interesting to speculate what may have happened if she ended up on Koror. Jonathan on Ulong as well. Another double boot episode would needed to compensate that they didn't go in the beginning too.

I JUST started my first teaching job (9th grade English!) and I am exhausted. Speaking of the lovely world of education, though... 15. Debbie Beebe MERHAG IN THE HOUSE, Y'ALL! God, I liked Debbie a lot during Tocantins. Perhaps it was all her pre-season hype here due to that EPIC shot of her rising out of the water. Debbie had a fan club that was giant even before we could see her face clearly, so that just means she was destined to be a star. Then the cast was revealed and we had even more reasons to love her. Hot mom? Check. Middle school principal? Check. Actual fan and applicant? Check. Really, what was there to not like? Then the series begins and we see just how GLAMOROUS Debbie was out there. Wearing dangly earrings and high heels as she hops off the truck into the Brazilian desert. And then whoever made the intro must have had Sucks, and particularly Merhag fans, in mind, because we got so many epic shots of Debbie diving into the water and running around looking happy like any Merhag should. Glorious. But Debbie wasn't just awesome in theory. She was actually a pretty great contestant. She was ignored in the first few episodes but it was clear she was a well-liked social gamer and a strong player in the challenges (like how she totally worked it for Timbira in the Episode 4 Reward Challenge). Jalapao considered her a very big threat, which is why she was a target at the merge. My only complaint with Debbie is that she was aligned with people that I really couldn't like no matter how much I tried (Tyson, Coach, Sierra), and even though that probably would have been good for her had Timbira not fractured and been owned my Jalapao (since she would have won a Jury vote), it still made me root against her and the rest of Timbira. I really, really liked JT, Stephen, Taj, and Erinn, but I am glad that Debbie lasted as long as she did, because she seemed like a very fun, well-rounded, interesting character. GO MERHAG!

Plus, it didn't help that Debbie was ignored so much in the editing, nor that she was aligned with two people I despised, nor that she was on a very underwhelming season. Her light just didn't get the proper chance to shine.

I get what you're saying about pre-ASS too. If Debbie had been on say Africa she would have been even more ~legendary~ I still have hope she will return for the MILF-themed season OR the 6th-place edition that are both bound to happen some time in the future ^_^ As for Wanda, I really do expect to see her back for the rumoured "Second Chance Edition" for realz <3

In Vanuatu, Scout was what your typical liberal New Age hippie Womyn's Studies/Herstory college professor (redundant, I know) would be on Survivor, and for that, she earned my love. Let's face it, Scout played well in Vanuatu. She is damn lucky she wound up on an all-female tribe. She really was very physically weak and was actually recovering from knee surgery while out there. In any other season, she would have been a very quick boot, but not only did the Yasur tribe win a few challenges early on (which showed that Scout wasn't as much of a liability as she could have been), but Scout also found her way into a fairly decent alliance on Yasur. Her partnership with Twila was a very wise voting block, and throughout the season she just had some very sweet moments. Like when her partner Annie came to visit for the family reward, or when she drove Sarge insane by singing around the fire, or calling Chris out on his bullshit at the Final Tribal Council. In other words, I liked her. She was a solid player despite being an embarrassingly weak physical competitor, and she had a very well-earned third place spot. She just doesn't get any higher on this list because she actually wasn't half as zany on the show as her post-show rants have been. I just can't stand this bitch... I rewatched some Vanuatu a while ago. Like when Dolly is telling Scout she is voting for Leann Scout is like, "I wish I knew the criteria for that." Who fucking talks like that? plzdie Scout. LILL FTW.

I joined Survivor Sucks during Guatemala and OMG that thread was the best thing ever. Lydia basically was the boot target at three Tribal Councils in a row, and even though she was clearly the weakest woman out there, she somehow magically survived them all. In Episodes 2, 3, and 4, Lydia was the other person to get votes. However, instead of going home, the tragic parade of invisible borewhores (Morgan, Brianna, and Brooke) went home instead. Lydia seemed unstoppable, even though she was still practically invisible in the editing and had thus far only shown that she knew how to catch fish. But who cares if she wasn't heard from? Lydia's diminutive stature alone proved to be visual comedy enough. I just absolutely loved how in the cast photo, Lydia is in the middle of the bottom row but is standing instead of crouching like the rest, and she honestly doesn't look out of place. She's almost JUST as tall as the people who are crouching. Adorable, right? Then Lydia switched to the Nakum tribe and randomly found herself in the very strong alliance of Stephenie, Judd, Rafe, and Jaime. I loved Lydia on Nakum, you guys. She was always so positive and chipper. Remember how she did crazy dances for them to boost their morale after their losing streak? (The Pancake FTW!) Other than that, there wasn't much to Lydia outside of the ironic posts about her awesomeness in the LYDIAOWNAGE thread here. And hey, I'm very grateful for that thread, because without LYDIAOWNAGE we wouldn't have had CIRIEOWNAGE in Panama, and without THAT epic thread, where would be be as a society? Nowhere, that's where. Lydia wasn't much of a gamer. She was very neglected by the editing and didn't talk a lot, and she kind of just rode coattails to the end. She should have easily been in the F3, but NO, Rafe and Stephenie had to get all gay and retarded (respectively), and vote her out at F4, letting their biggest competition make it to the F3 and win the game. Sorry, Lydia. You were robbed. But you still owned.

Lydia actually affected the outcome a fair bit under Danni's influence. They set Judd up at the Final 6, and when Rafe targetted Cindy it was Lydia who was the third vote. Steph's biggest error was losing Lydia's loyalty to Danni/Rafe IMO.
