Russell made s19 look too easy, against great players and with great players as his allies he'll just look even better.

That is totally different from a person who stirs the pot, makes moves (but doesn't make noise about it), has a strategy and who aligns themselves so that the vote doesn't go against them. Sandra was/is a lot like Russ except she didn't get the 30K confessionals that he did. BUT make no mistake, Sandra made some plays that were at the same level as Russ AND she played the social game in such a way as to come out with the win.

Posts: 6041 (01/11/10 01:17 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	The more I think about it, the more I think this season will not be as "kind" (or rather, glorifying) to Russell as 'Samoa' was, especially with rumors that he comes in third and/or is shut-out of the vote altogether. This might be a lot like Steph going from Palau to Guatemala - this is the season where the other shoe drops for Russell. I don't see any kind of "redemption" arc, and with the likes of Parv and Sandra sitting next to him, I see them getting much more favorable edits so there's not another Natalie redux of overblown, angry fan reaction to him getting beaten in the end.

Yes, but it could be simply because she is the only one of the 4 to not have won previously (remember Russell may have thought he won 19). Because she hasn't won previously, and given her history with the show, they probably thought she would garner the votes. It may not be because the final 3 thought she is any more likable to the jury.

Or at least she'd provide more competition than the other two. Dumping an alliance partner at the end could have Sandra written all over it, if she is there.

I have a feeling we will WANT her to be in the final 3. Do people not see how great of a story that is for her? The ultimate female villain's story ends with her being the ultimate hero.

But I do think she'll be edited much better than in the past. If she's her bitchy self, I think most people will actually appreciate it a lot more than in past seasons.

He can't work well enough with others (Raro, Cirie) to have a successful alliance. He'd probably just allign with Coach and Randy, and either go down in flames with them or run the villian tribe into the ground.

I think they did everything they could to build up his storyline for HvV so I would definitely expect more of the same, especially with Jeff calling him the best player ever and his opening line of "now i'm here to prove it."
