It's been stated here that Micronesia was originally going to be All Stars 2 before the theme got changed, but who were the other 10 contestants?
The following people accepted an invite but got cut (source in brackets):
- Yul (Probst)
- Shane (Probst)
- Sandra (EW)
- Terry (Eliza)
- Twila (Eliza)
- Courtney M (Eliza)
These contestants declined an invite:
- Tom
- Courtney Y
- Candice
- Ian (Eliza)
There's conflicting information for Peih Gee, but if she was asked I'd guess she was one those who got cut.
Also I'm not sure if the Christy rumours are valid or not. I'm inclined to think they aren't.
Since Tom, Courtney Yates and Candice all declined Micronesia but made Heroes vs Villians, what does this mean for Danielle? 5 Panama contestants seems
excessive. Also this could apply to Rafe, who declined Heroes vs Villians.
Overall this would give us:
Pearl Islands: Sandra, Fairplay
Vanuatu: Twila, Eliza, Ami
Palau: None?
Guatemala: None?
Panama: Terry, Cirie, Shane, Courtney
Cook Islands: Yul, Ozzy, Parvati, Jonathan
Fiji: Yau Man
China: Amanda, James
With 4 places unaccounted for.

It would be awful if they had a full cast of twenty and STILL managed to snub Palau and Guatemala.
So they probably would have. 
Surely they would have tried to get back more winners than just Yul, too.

Hopefully Sean (Marquesas), but I doubt they appreciate how epic he was. My guesses would be Todd, Ian, and either Judd or Jamie for the guys, and Peih-Gee for sure, and two of Michelle Yi, Julie (if allowed), or Jenn (if able) or Danni (would probably decline), not sure who they would invite for girls really. The ten I would want would be Sean, Todd, Judd, Gervase, Shane, Peih-Gee, Twila, Heidi, Kelly G, and Sandra, but that would never happen.

Palau's tough because Tom and Ian both declined, plus they couldn't use Steph or Bobby Jon again. I suppose Coby is a possibility but I think he pissed
off the producers at some point. Jenn's cancer would've prevented her going. The only other person left who makes sense would be Katie.
For Guatemala I think Rafe, Judd and possibly Gary could be justified and would accept. Lydia had vanished by this point and I believe Danni would decline unfortunately. As far as winners go they definately approached Yul, Sandra and Tom, the latter declining. I recall Todd saying he wasn't asked at all on this site. Danni may have been asked as she was the last female winner, not sure about Earl/Aras/Chris. It's unlikely they would've gone further back than Pearl Islands IMO. |

I can understand why they picked Amanda & Parvati, but James - meh. He did nothing on both seasons (or maybe Micronesia) so why the hell was he asked back!
