If that number holds or increases with soundscan that puts him right at around 475K give or take. so he should be gold within two weeks.

I did some research on the last two Super Bowl anthem performers and their chart stats for two weeks after.
Week after Super bowl: Jordin, the remaining Idol on the chart, got a boost from her Super Bowl National Anthem exposure, jumpng 53-44 with a 26% sales increase to 17,000. Her total is now 491,000. Following week (Grammy): Jordin was not a Grammy factor, but still gained 18% to 20,000, although on the chart she fell 44-49. She passed the half-million mark this week; her total is 511,000. Next goal: to attempt to pass Taylor so that she won't have the worst-selling Idol champ debut album. Week of Super Bowl: Jennifer Hudson shoots up 24 spots on the chart, from 71 to 47, as sales increase 57 percent from 8,000 to 12,000 (total: 595,000). Following week (Grammy) Album sales started picking up a couple weeks ago in anticipation of the Grammy Awards, but this past week saw the real effect of the show and its performances. So it's no surprise, then, that on the heels of her Best R&B Album win and powerful performance of You Pulled Me Through, sales of Jennifer Hudson's album more than doubled, from 12,000 to nearly 26,000, putting her in the Top 30 of the Nielsen SoundScan current-album sales chart and making Jennifer Hudson the best-selling Idol album of last week. Jennifer also passed the 600,000 mark for her album sales, hitting 621,000. Those years, the Grammys was a week after the Super Bowl. If Carrie sees two healthy 25% increases each week, I'd be satisfied lol. |
