as of early sept, she was sober and in a halfway house in florida but had not spoken to her daughter.

Absolutely. Glad she's still sober, but it will be AGES, if at all, before her daughter views her in a positive light. Daughter was "abandoned"
and that always makes for a very angry kid. Thank goodness the aunt stepped up. And I was glad when Candy ripped her a new one for saying she'd go to
treatment "if I can have my daughter (dang I bad at remembering names) back".

We've had too much Jeff "they love you like crazy" Van Vonderen lately. Glad to see Candy back last night...where's Ken been?

One of the guys fell off the wagon. It was either Jeff or Ken. I think it was Ken.

they nailed what the mom would say about getting anna back.
really, i think she's more about not losing her daughter to the sister than getting the daughter back. there's a lot of passive-aggressive back and forth in that family. |

I watched this latest episode with my mom and she couldn't understand why the daughter was so angry with her mother. I really wanted to punch her in the
face and be like "Cause she's a drunk retard like you maybe?" At least mine didn't abandon me, but holy shit I almost wish she had.

Fluffy - I believe it was Jeff who fell off the wagon last year or around then.

The bald interventionist with the mustache - HOW IS HE STILL EMPLOYED? He is the most uncaring person ever.

Yeah it was Jeff that relapsed. I see Ken on the talk shows when some celebrity dies, relapses, ODs or attempts suicide.

Just saw an old episode with Bret, an alcoholic who died from esophageal cancer. So sad, the little boy at the end who said he's glad his "dad didn't die an alcoholic, he died a dad" that asshole made me cry. The dude from City High is on now. If he gets sober will the group get back together.

Okay, I REALLY hate this Robby tool. And his mother. His brother should drop them like rocks.

OMFG. I just saw the Bret episode for the first time. i was trying to fall asleep & had the show on for background noise but then got sucked into it. seeing those kids beg their dad had me bawling. and then to hear the epilogue. that has messed me up so much there's no way i'm going to be able to sleep now. Fuck. I mean seriously, that was just mental.

Aw frak. I was giggling through the whole episode like I always do, because I have no soul, and that ending just slayed me out of the blue. How sad.

i hadn't seen bret either. and the little boy at the end got me, too.

The first time I saw this episode I was BAWLING, because when the words came up on the screen that said he discovered he had cancer and they had the sad music playing, I figured they were going to say "so he went back to the bottle". So then when they said he died and the little boy said the bit about being glad he didn't die an alcoholic, but died his dad, it killed me.

Bret's was the saddest one I've ever seen. My heart broke for those kids.
