Two choices that will no doubt inspire a bit of head scratching are the inclusion of a filler INV player and Cook Islands' Candice Woodcock (as a hero, even though her most famous move was mutinying from her own tribe).X

Well, I think that some things help us. The fact that theyre giving us a pre-season retrospective is a plus because that means theyre willing to give us more
episodes this season. However, it could be bad because that could eliminate the need to introduce the players in episode 1. A good plus is that there seems to
be a reward and immunity challenge that both seem to occur some time after the contestants are dropped off on the beach judging by their wardrobe changes.
Another negative is that by not getting the superbowl, they couldve pushed the premiere back to the 11th from the 7th (superbowl date) and just combined the
first and second back to back.
So it really could go etiher way, but definitely the reward/immunity news was a good indicator that they are having a 2 hour premiere, otherwise they wouldve just had an immunity like normal premieres. Hell, most seasons don't have a reward until later on especially 20 person seasons. Samoa didn't have a reward for the first 3 episodes. |

Probst says in this vid that the other injury in the first challenge besides
Steph's shoulder is a broken toe. Any idea whose it might be?

didn't samoa have that small reward challenge in the beginning which John sucked and was beat by jaison in the swiming.

pretty sure it's Rupert's toe. I was wondering why it was wrapped in another vid clip I saw yesterday.
That's a great video, thanks Sal, wish we could see the whole party or to have been in attendance. Something like over 200 Survivors?! |

Interesting that Richard said Sandra threw a party the night before at the Renaissance. That could not have been inexpensive I'm
sure.. maybe she is expecting some extra $$ to come in soon?.. hmm, maybe??...
And why we love Sandra here, she says she is still starstruck by the other Survivors when she sees them, even when she is one of the top stars herself. So it is Stephanie=dislocated shoulder Rupert-broken toe Sugar- topless Almost as juicy as Survivor Panama's opening nude challenge.

JerseyJerk wrote: It seemed like they put everything through a really high-saturation filter to make all the colors more vivid, kind of like they do for the intro sequences. It's less naturalistic but I think it looks cool and kinda hope they keep it. I have a feeling that was just for the PCA preview though, and the show itself will have the normal unfiltered, natural looking video, considering that's how every other season has been. The high-saturation is just really stylistic and while it looks good for previews and commercials, it would look unnatural to have it for an entire season I think. |

Another super interesting quote from that article:
This is bizarre to me considering about 95% of the viewing audience and Survivor fans don't consider her a villain to begin with.

That's just because Probst is a stupid dumbass who thinks just because he says it it's true.

Jeff is grasping at straws when he tries to defend Sandra being a villain, and Candice being a Hero IMO. Jeff is also grasping at straws when he defends
Danielle being in either group.

SEG's prime consideration is tribal dynamics. We all know there would be some who wouldn't fit the categories all that well.

well "went on to win for the tribe" may just mean that round or point, not the challenge itself
somehow I see the villians winning the first challenge |

Sounds like James is a casualty of Schergenball later on. Villians playing smashmouth Survivor. |

Sounds like James is a casualty of Schergenball later on.I didn't know that it was confirmed that James was injured here to affect him later? Tough challenge though. Steph had her (bum) shoulder dislocate - sounds like several times, possibly not within the one challenge. I wasn't sure why Sugar would be a first boot if she had a semi alliance with JT, and she tried so hard that she maybe won the first challenge for the Heroes even topless. (I hate those blurred scenes!!). Looks like her social game didn't get any traction at the hero camp. |
