He's not all that great, but I loved the fact that he switched up a very well known song.

I was just wanting to make a thread about him but I didn't remember his name.
I actually really liked him. His voice was really nice and he seemed like a nice, unobnoxious person. Like I can tell he loves him some Jesus but I don't feel like he'd shove it down my throat. I want to hear more from him. |

He's easily going to coast into the top 10, as long as everything with him is on the up....

Good to see Charles Grigsby got voice lessons over the past 8 years.

Was he on Sunday's Best? He looks really familiar.

Waaaay too many extra runs. Melisma times a zillion. He's just a very ordinary gospel singer. Annoying sob story too. Nice guy, but it will be a sadly
untalented group if he is able to make it to the top ten.

I agree - I was surprised at the quality of his voice and the way he switched up the song - I'm curious to see more from him...

A cute black guy, meaning that he won't make the top 12/13/whatever.

One of my favorites so far.
Which means he'll get cut before top 24. |

Here's the thing, he can effortlessly pull of the runs. The one scale he hit was pretty fricken amazing.

I thought he sounded off key quite a bit near the end. Runs do not equal good singing. It needs to stop.

He definitely needs work on pitch because he oversang the end part. (Boomie he is not.)
Still overall I liked him. |
