and in the new healthcare proposal too if you want healthcare, you can get it if you pay for it. And if you don't want to pay for it-it's FREE! I'm sure 80% of people will continue to pay and watch the other 20% get the exact same care for doing absolutely nothing. |

It's only borrowed money, not real money.

It's sort of like buying a car with a balloon payment at the end. The only problem is that the car gets shittier and shittier and the there's not just
one balloon payment, but a never ending supply of them.

compare the projections of healthcare costs with and without the current bill - the results will show you that without the legislation, healthcare costs will
be even more than what the chart is showing you above. i posted such a chart many pages ago, you didn't respond to it then.
And if you don't want to pay for it-it's FREE! That's not true. |

But Bob makes a good point about that chart... is that the cost to the federal government? If so, it does not include the costs that are forced on to the
states in unfunded mandates.
You know... the ones the Governator Ah-nuld is bitching about. |

the chart above - why is it not counting the profits in the first 5 years we'll collect and put into the program? or any other revenue streams - ofcourse
the chart will be red if you'll just include the expenditures but ignore the revenues

Maybe because the title of the chart is "Seanate Health Care bill COSTS"?.... and not "costs vs. revenue streams" or just
"massive tax increases to fund health care debacle"...
The cost projections for the first 4 years are non existent since the plan taxes us during that time without providing any services. |

Did anyone else catch the news story that the MIT economist (the one nomi puts so much faith in because he's not biased) who has been saying that the
insurance industry's projection of greatly increased costs are wrong, is someone who has been working for the government as a paid consultant to help write
the bill?

i wasn't refering to the govt - but to the healthcare program in cost vs. revenue terms.
Did anyone else catch the news story that the MIT economist (the one nomi puts so much faith in because he's not biased) was it the same one? i'll have to go back and check. link to story? |

What the flying fuck are you talking about? Are you seriously thinking that this program is going to show a profit?
|

no, but it should work at reducing the current projected deficit due to healthcare costs.
now if we had a public option where most people paid into the program, we could've considered a profit too. |
