I liked Fireflies for like 1 day but then when everyone else was obsessed with it, I was like "what the ew" and went back to black music.

and what exactly is an owl city supposed to be
at least he's being forthright about the fact that he's leading civilization into its vanilla twilight, though, i guess |

I like "Whiny Indie Shit" but I hate Owl City.
Yay at "I gotta feeling" being this low ! . It's repetitive, it's boring and I always have the impression it never ends when I hear it. The video clip is pretty bad too. |

I liked I Gotta Feeling before it was cool. When it became popular all them white girls were like "THIS SONG IS ABOUT ME" and I hopped off that shit
as fast as I can eat fried chicken (which is pretty fast).

I love these hits in 2000 until 2007. I don't really like the songs of 08 to 09. They are suck.

I Gotta Feeling is just too fresh and currently overplayed. It deserves far higher on this list

Apprentice Talker wrote:OMG if Claude thinks it, it must be true! Recent songs are suck indeed. Bilkis wrote: Anyway, I really like Amazed, for a country ballad. Everything You Want is actually one of my favorites, and I Knew I Loved You makes me nostalgic. I Gotta Feeling's an amazing song (stronger than Boom Boom Pow, even if the lyrics are a bit...iffy). And I'll own up to it: I kinda like some Nickelback songs. I certainly don't despise them like everyone else seems to. How You Remind Me is formulaic, but catchy. And some days, I even like a couple of Creed songs, including With Arms Wide Open. The rest of the songs you've ranked are shit though, I agree. |

hi i'm back
117. Butterfly - Crazy Town 2001 was a scary time as the threat of both anthrax and rap/rock groups were ever-present in the daily lives of Americans. I certainly know which was the scarier of the two:
:eek x 1 million. The video is also noteworthy for its use of awful special effects ![]()
and a man in a D.A.R.E. shirt. The band was pretty much the definition of a one hit wonder but I am sure that Mike Shinoda was furious that "Butterfly" spent two non-consecutive weeks at the top while "Lying From You" never got the respect it deserved. To be fair, Linkin Park never once had a song that contained the lyric "Fierce nipple pierce" sooo how well could they really expect to do. Crazy Town had really no lasting impact outside of this really bad song, but at the time it taped together a band that was tearing at the seams: Turntablist DJ AM left at this point. Crazy Town then released their third single in 2001, "Butterfly" (which uses samples from Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Pretty Little Ditty"). It reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After this DJ AM returned. What a famewhore :amber. Thank god he died. Anyway, there's certainly not a lot to be said about Crazy Town past mentioning that I will never forget that the rapper guy is called "Shifty" so I will let this oddly fitting fun fact from Wikipedia wrap things up:
WHY is America so in love with Whiny White Dudes (generally w/ bad haircuts (s.ia Daniel Powter / James Blunt fans))? This song stands out as particularly bad because it's a Whiny White Dude with an acoustic guitar doing a faggy little fingerpick thing, a surefire recipe for a terrible human being. An awful punk/pop band, Plain White Ts accidentally stumbled upon the forumla for success because, and this is maybe the song's only redeeming quality The song was written after Higgenson met Delilah DiCrescenzo, a nationally ranked American steeplechase and cross country runner Word has it that the girl didn't even really know the guy existed (source: various people I know who apparently knew people who went to high school with him or something) whoops! WORST PART OF THE SONG: "Even more in love with me you'd fall" Plain White T's are almost never going to see any success in the future but Hey There Delilah's 2 weeks at number 1 still gets an obnoxious amount of Lite Rock radio play (ex: it was on at 8:50 pm Thursday Jan 14 2010 on Chicago radio station 101.9 The Mix as I was driving home from Subway). I leave you with a question: IS THIS NOT THE MOST PUNCHABLE FACE OF ALL TIME

I HATE Hey There Delilah. I thought I was the only one who hated it, I'm so happy to see I'm not alone.
The first time I saw "Butterfly" I thought it was a parody or something. I still can't figure out what was in their mind when they did this videoclip. |

I really hate "Hey There Delilah." There is not another song in the world that matches its boringness.

That guy that sings "Butterfly" might be the most butterfaced person I've ever seen. Ew.

Everything You Want, Fireflies, and Hey There Delilah <3 <3 Although my faborite line of the latter is "I'll be out there making
history....like I do." I'm gonna be such a stereotypical white yuppie and root for "Smooth" to be Number 1.
I don't particularly like I Gotta Feeling, but it's cetainly better than Boom Boom Pow. Ironically, I legit like Meet Me Halfway, and that's their one that's least popular. |

hey there delilah might be objectively the worst song of all time
on a class trip to chicago, a really fat girl sitting a few rows behind me on the bus was silently sobbing the whole 5+ hours there. i later found out that she had been listening to HTD on repeat the entire time |
