Um, dumbfuck? I didn't title the thread "Syracuse is Underrated" because they beat UNC, I gave it that title because Syracuse was underrated. As far as I'm concerned, they're STILL underrated at 5.

The National Championship will be all orange this year. Texas vs. Syracuse. One of either Kentucky or Kansas will not make the Final 4.

Carolina sucks this year. We get it. We won't get into the losses being to ranked teams (except that clusterfuck in Charleston, a team who will probably make the tourney as the Southern Conference winner), including 3 of the top 5, or the injuries, or the lack of senior leadership. Turnovers are killing them, plain and simple. When they don't turn the ball over, they win, and when they do turn the ball over, they still manage to compete (loss @ KY by 2, win over Michigan State) at least some of the time. Today they came back to take the lead against a ranked team who had them down 20 fucking points.

That's why they won't drop out of the top 25 this week. If they lose to Wake Forest, they'll drop WAY out, but look for them to be around the 21-22 mark come Monday.

You don't seem to grasp the "strength of schedule" concept, and how that relates to the rankings. But then you don't seem to grasp much of anything.

Which explains why I've been hyping Syracuse. Cuz, you know, I'm a HUGE 'Cuse fan.

Kentucky has barely managed to win games which should have been blowouts. Their schedule has been shit, with maybe two exceptions, though you all seem to think one of those teams (the one they beat by 2, on their own court) shouldn't be ranked, which gave Kentucky exactly ONE good win before the conference season started. Kansas lost to an undermanned Tennessee squad, after squeaking by an unranked opponent. Their schedule hasn't exactly been tough so far.

Texas is just nasty, Syracuse has already leapt 19 spots in the polls after starting 24th (and that's with a tough loss), and both teams have played quality opponents. There's no way Kentucky could handle either team, and Kansas wouldn't be the automatic favorite against either.

As far as UNC goes, look at their schedule, and look at the rankings of their opponents. They beat a couple of ranked teams, kept it really close with a couple of others, and got blown out by a few. If they're beating ranked teams, and staying competitive with others, a couple of stinkers against other ranked teams doesn't knock them out of the Top 25, it just means they aren't at the top of the fucking list this season. How hard is that to understand?

Even the haters seem to expect UNC to win 30 games and make the Final Four every season. You gotta love it.
