Nothing we say is going to have any effect on how they edit the show. At worst, I assume her edit will be similar to her time in Pearl Islands. That's if she wins. If she comes in 2nd, I expect her to be shown as much as Mick was in Samoa or Susie was in Gabon. If you love her, just be happy she's on again. Considering how many big names are on this season, anything we get is GRAVY.

Posts: 243 (02/08/10 02:20 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	While the lack of Sandra in the promos has had me worried, the fact that this IS Sandra, and the editors likely get as much of a kick out of her (and her potty mouth) as we do, we'll likely get about as much of her as we did in PI. And, if my memory isn't failing on me, I remember reading somewhere that she was the best edited female winner so far, so if she is going to win again, why wouldn't it be the same? After all, the common viewers don't remember Sandra worth a crap, so why would they use her in promos (when people remember Colby, Jerri, Rupert, etc.)? I wouldn't doubt that Sandra will be louder than she was in PI. She only had one target of her affection in PI (with Jon), and now she has Russell, Randy, and Coach to scream and get loud to, and I can't see her passing up any opportunity to put any of them in their place.

Posts: 9697 (02/08/10 03:23 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Obviously this season is the most heavily promoted in FOREVER so Sandra could have had a lot more, but I don't think it's really an indication of what her edit is going to be like. I remembered people being upset by how little Eliza and Cirie were getting in promos for FVF, so I went back and checked and found 5 pre-season commercials for it that were really distinct. These are the returning players that were PROMINENTLY FEATURED in each of them. The people in bold actually SPOKE. Fairplay, Parvati, Amanda, Ami, James Jonathan, Fairplay, Yau-Man Yau-Man, James, Fairplay Ozzy, Cirie, Parvati, Fairplay, Yau-Man, James, Jonathan Ozzy, Cirie, Parvati, Fairplay, Yau-Man, James, Jonathan So Fairplay got the most, followed by Jonathan and James. Yau-Man was in 4/5 of them too, and he was easily the most irrelevant of the favorites tribe to the overall story of the season. Eliza and Cirie got next to nothing and both of them got a lot of airtime even though they didn't win. I can guarantee Amber, Rob, and JLew weren't the ~STARS~ of the ASS promos too. Point is, it means nothing imo. Sandra hasn't been seen in the longest time out of anyone in the cast and a lot of people sadly don't remember her. My parents were HUGE fans of her during PI and talked about how much they loved her win for years after, but when I told them she was on again they were all, "Oh....yeah I think I remember her." They're just using the new generation of Survivor stars (Parvati, Coach, Russell) and the classic ICONS (Jerri, Colby, Rupert) to promote the season. If Sandra is the same funny and outspoken Sandra she was on PI, and all her preshow stuff indicates she will be, then I can't see how she'd be ignored. Most of the people with shitty edits that went far were ignored for a reason.

Usually that means nothing but here is why it means something 1A : The casual audience seem to all have amnesia and don't even know who Sandra is, the editors will have to work their asses off to make sure people KNOW Sandra and remember her. 2. Jeff Probst said she is even more of a villain this season which says a lot about her future in screentime. I also wanna point out the winner will be edited out as either a hero or a villain. They are gonna want to promote Sandra as a VILLAIN if she wins. This also bodes well for her when they showed her as a unlikeable winner. Usually it would hurt her. In this case it reverses. I think he also said that most of her out-of-control nature was directed at Russell (one can only hope).
