Is Samoa now considered the worst season? Or is that still Fiji and/or Thailand?
Samoa is one of the top 3 seasons of all time.

I guess it just shows how boring Bore-neo was though that Australia got more people even though it has a humongous advantage of being the original and nobody from that season is being casted in season 20. |

Outback was worse than Thailand.

Outback is the worst season? No,
Thailand was by far the worst season. |

No, it is not.

I think Outback, pre-merge, ranks among the very best seasons. That being said, it does lose steam towards the end, particularly after Jerri is voted off. It
was suspenseless and miserable. Thailand, on the other hand, never seemed interesting to me at all. I think part of it was that it did not have the most
engaging or likable cast, and it was a low suspense season (straight Pagonging) that was sandwiched between Marquesas, which was well-cast and the first season
to feature alliance-flipping, and the chaotic and fun Amazon season. Thailand seems better compared to some of the weaker later seasons such as Fiji, but when
compared to the other pre-ASS seasons, it's a borefest. Africa has some memorable contestants even though the strategic play was dreadful; Pearl Islands
had some big characters, at least. Borneo, although I LOVED it when it originally aired, I can see how someone who came to Survivor later in the series'
run went back and watched it 10 years later would find it frustrating and predictable because you had a season where the vast majority of players were devoid
of strategy.

Sure a Australian Outback and Thailand were boring and had way less interesting characters than the much better casting in seasons now but nothing will ever be
as boring as Bore-neo. It was terrible the first time and it has never been interesting any other times.

This question couldn't be any easier to answer...Thailand, hands down.
Australia had so much to offer with great a great cast (save for a couple....Debb, Kel, and Nick come to mind), great setting in the Outback, Mike falling into the fire, losing camp in a dry riverbed (due to the genius of Jerri), the Jerri/Colby and Kimmi/Alicia love-hate relationship, and most of all this season felt like a real survivor experience. Very limited food, tougher terrain elements and even in the reward challenges weren't the lavish feasts they are today. If you haven't you need to go watch it again. You really begin to appreciate it, especially if you only saw it on the original airing. |
