It's rare that I see something so blatantly stupid in 24 (yes, there's a lot that's very stupid, like 'coptering from Santa Barbara to LA in about five minutes). But when they found those naughty files on blonde reporter's PC, and then Jack found photos of Evil Guy entering and leaving the apartment house of blonde reporter, corresponding to the time that the naughty files were downloaded... I immediately wondered if they'd ask blonde reporter where she was during that time. It apparently happened today, and they DIDN'T see blonde reporter in the building... that is such a plot hole (Chloe should have said during the meeting, "What's the time stamp on the downloads?" (they obviously had them) "So where was Meredith then?") They'd all look at each other and say, uh, good point...

But the primary goal of this episode was apparently to show a) that the new boss of CTU is a lickspittle drone, 2) their background checks on important people who work there is lousier than WalMart's, and 3) America is in the best of hands.. Chloe, Jack, and Walker.

Oh, that new CTU guy agent is probably going to end up okay. Or dead.

All in all, despite the dumbness, it's so much frigging fun to see C,J, and W again. Just have it slightly less dumb overall.
