Yea, I was gonna post Kelly W., but then I remembered the swimming challenge she lost to a man who can't swim.
Why to people fail at challenges that are based on their r/l profession? i.e. Kelly W., Cirie, and ball juggler Stephen |

Yeah, then we'd have Pearl Islands vs Micronesia. Christa was strong and big, but I don't think she was too fast. If they brought Christa back there
would be a 3 person alliance right off the bat, at least others have had to go outside their season.
I would say Lindsey R, Tammy L, Stephenie L, Danni B, Cindy, Parvati, Candice, I want to say Jacque, but we didn't see a whole lot of her, and Laura. |

I'm rewatching China atm, and just finished watching the sword chop challenge that Courtney epic failed on. So, Courtney is out of the running... But I
have a question for anyone who knows... the "matrix-like" editing in that challenge, where they'd do a stop motion when the contestants would
chop that rope...is this the only time they've done something like that? Have I missed it in any other season? It just seemed so random as I was watching
it, as if that was the only time it ever happened, which made me wonder why...

The fact that Kelly lost simply reinforces the fact that a young, athletic male (IIRC Gervase was a basketball coach, so would have been in decent shape) can beat a young, athletic female in a competition where strength plays a key role. That being said, it was one of the great moments in Borneo, especially the post-challenge reactions. |

*note: I am on a mac which I hate because when I preview it there are no paragraph breaks, is that how everyone else is seeing it? I did a bracket system....
so if it is a mess here is the important part... . . To me being the most athletic means being multifaceted at all endeavors. So someone like Crystal
wouldn't be the most athletic, sure she can kickyour ass in a sprint around the track, but everything else... she sucks. The most athletic is someone that
naturally excels at anything physical like those athletes who are great at all three major sports.
. . Tammy Vs Cindi for the most athletic woman.... I would love to see that showdown. I would have to go back and watch their seasons to really know who is better.. . Kelly W. vs. Jenna : KELLY . vs Kelly . Alicia vs Jerri: JERRI vs. Tammy............Tammy . . Lindsey vs. Kim P. LINDSEY . vs Tammy . Tammy vs. Zoe TAMMY . . Helen vs. Stephanie: HELEN . vs Joanna . Heidi vs. Joanna JOANNA vs Joanna . . Christa vs. Tijuana CHRISTA . vs Christa . Ami C. vs Eliza AMI vs Cindi . . Stephanie vs. Jolanda: JOLANDA . vs Cindi . Cindi vs Danni: CINDI vs Cindi . . Sally vs Danielle: DANIELLE . vs Candice . Candice vs. Flicka: CANDICE . . Erica vs. Staci: ERICA . vs Amanda . Amanda vs. Sherea: AMANDA vs Amanda . . Tracey vs Alexis: TRACEY vs Amanda . vs Tracey.............Tracy . Debbie vs Taj: DEBBIE . . So Tammy, Cindy and Amanda, It comes down between Tammy vs Cindy That would be a great showdown. Not sure who would win, I would have to go back and watch their seasons. |

Why does everyone keep listing Alicia?
Having a great physique does not make you a good athlete. |

I think it would be really cool to see how an athletic female would do in this game.Well, after 20 seasons there is certainly enough information to conclude that athleticism doesn't really help in winning this game for a female. Athleticism may get them through phase one, when the weakest are being targeted, but after that it generally becomes a disadvantage, just like it does for the males, unless you have a loyal alliance protecting you or you go on a challenge run. We've had an olympic sprinter, a bodybuilder, a boxer, multiple marathon runners, and countless others who would be considered "athletic" in comparison to the general population (which in this country is a pretty low standard), or at least above average on paper. Some of those have underperformed in physical challenges (e.g., Crystal, arguably the most accomplished athlete outside of the game), and others have performed surprisingly well (e.g., Amanda, Christa). It all depends on the types of challenges they are thrown into (strength vs. endurance vs. swimming vs. puzzles) and who the competition is at any given moment. So far, the most athletic females to win this game were Jenna, Amber and Parvati. Compare those three to other female winners (Tina, Vecepia, Sandra, Danielle, Natalie), and I think it's safe to say that athleticism is pretty low on the list of what it takes to do well in this game as a female. A good under the radar strategy is far more important. But for all round athleticism, including strength, endurance, speed and agility, I would vote for Tammy. |
