So I just saw a commercial for some sort of Make-up on the Discovery Health Channel. Jillian was on it.

Fattay bump for tonight. The wife is away, so I'm on my own for supper. That means a ridiculously large plate of spaghetti smothered in a full jar of
Prego.....and burned crispy sausage patties.

I found quitting Diet Coke harder than quitting smoking Understandermant (and I smoked for 13 years) so good
luck to you.
Taco Tuesday again for me, I think it's starting to become a tradition. |

Vicki didn't own anything! She pretended that she wasn't playing a game, then when she was confronted by Bob wouldn't admit to anything!

Taco night for me too. However, they're going to be slightly healthy as I have a half marathon on Sunday and I'm trying to limit my fat this week.
Ground turkey, low-fat sour cream and cheese, and I'm not frying the tortillas.
Of course, there's still an enormous jar of M&M's that I will be unable and unwilling to ignore. It is Biggest Loser night after all. |

Speaking of Vicki, I hated her during her season but I have learned to appreciate her considering how everyone has become sanctimonious about game play in recent seasons. At least Vicki owned it and made no apologies for playing the game.I agree. People like Shay made me appreciate Vicki for who she was. The only reason I was against a Vicki win was because of who she was aligned with (Heba, the husbands and Bob.) I actually liked her at the tale end of the season when people started writing threatening emails to her. I understand you may dislike a person on the show, but at some point a line has to be drawn. No need to be crazy, especially when someone is just playing inside the rules of the game. It's funny to see some of the biggest game players (Tracy, Vicki, and Helen) are some of the most successful weight loss stories. |

I agree with what you said how people take things too far but how was Helen a game player? Aside from maybe when she stayed over Shannon thats about all I can think of for her.I don't think she played nearly as hard as Vicki or Tracy, but she was playing the game. Is she the only parent to stay over their child when one of them had to get booted? Also, she chose Jillian over Bob (awesome moment) because Jillian gets better results. Oh and she ate that cookie that cost Tara 10k. That's all I can think of now, but I just remember her being really nice, but always putting herself in a position to be successful. |

I think the reason Vicki was really an unappealing character because Michelle, Renee, Colleen, and anyone else who opposed her weren't sanctimonious
assholes. You rooted for those girls because they worked hard and didn't bitch and whine all the time about the gameplaying by Vicki. They knew that the
only way they were going to win was to stay above the yellow line and that's what they fought to do.
Someone like Shay, on the other hand, makes it easy to root for Tracy. Shay actually thinks that she is entitled to make the finals and I still can't believe that people flipped out over Tracy making her and Amanda weigh in. That's the whole point of the SHOW. Get over it. |

Right now I'm eating about 32 ounces of raw spinach and some quinoa. (I'm sorry. I'll try to finish it quickly and then get ahold of some popcorn
or chips and soda before the show starts.)
I don't discredit Helen at all for staying instead of her daughter. It was obvious that Shannon's heart wasn't in to it. Shannon had less determination. If Shannon had stayed, she'd no doubt have been kicked out a few weeks later. (Obviously, Flour Power has poor impulse control.) Then neither one had any chance to get some cash. Helen probably gave Shannon a cut since she would not have been able to get onto the show without Shannon. Jillian was hosting the Golden Globes red carpet for one of those tabloid shows. WTF...does she not get enough money between TBL and her dietbook/dvd empire? |

WTF? If she's got the time (clearly she does) and wants to do it (clearly she does) who are you to say she has enough money (clearly she is the one who knows this, not you) and shouldn't. |

Suzy wrote: last season was like the season of midgets. none of the girls were over 5'8" and rudy was like the "freakishly tall" one and he was like 6'4". if they have taller people, they can afford to have higher, more astounding weights. taller people can carry more weight and still function better than shorter people at that same number. example, shay last season was 5'8" and 476lbs with a bmi of 72.4. this seasons michael, who is 6'3" and was 526lbs, had a starting bmi of 65.7. he is exactly 50lbs heavier than the "heaviest person ever" of last season, but he is actually better off, even though 500lbs sounds scarier than 400lbs. but that is exactly it, they are going for the shock value. i'm having lentil soup and bread with cheese. |
