I've tried not watching it, but this thread keeps popping up and NC's rants pique my curiosity.

Seriously, this show is soo like an abusive boyfriend/girlfriend, like I've said before. It keeps treating you like crap over and over but you just
can't part with it because of all the work you've put into the relationship.

Yes. that too, GJ. After years of no cable and no opportunity to watch TV shows regularly, Heroes was one of the first shows that I fell in love with and
decided to watch regularly and see it through. It keeps disappointing me, but I have invested so much it makes it so hard to walk away.
BTW what the hell happened to Charlie again? |

I still can't believe those ratings. This use to be a show that was getting 10-14 million viewers easily every episode in the first two seasons, now look at it. I don't think there has ever been a show in TV history that started out so strong out of the gate and crashed and burned so epically like this show did. |

The writers strike killed this show for sure.

Dynasty & L.A. Law went from the penthouse
to the outhouse, too...but not this quickly. |

I still stand by my fact that Season Two is still not as bad as people first made it out to be given the fact that they had to cut it short and come up with some random ending off the fly due to the strike. I think after the strike was over the writers got this idea, how I don't know, that they had to come back bigger with more action and random fights, deaths, and plot twists just for shock value that had absolutely no meaning. They failed to keep in line with their established rules, mythology and continunity from the first two seasons. They wrecked the show bad during Volume Three that their was absolutely no righting the ship other than starting over from scratch with a completely new cast of characters. |

I couldn't get through the first half of the show last night. Just when you think they've hit the bottom creatively, you're in for a shock.
It's just so awful.
They need to go and reshoot a final scene with Sylar lying in the street bleeding out after his season one beatdown and having a premonition of the never-was future representing seasons 2-4 before like, Jessica rips his head off or something. That should work as a sufficient apology considering how little time this show has left. |

Lets not even talk about how bad the sword fight scene was.
Do you know what would have been awesome? If Hiro had actually progressed to becoming future Hiro badarse instead of still being the same tubby little bastard with (somehow) even worse sword skills than in season 1. Oh... and all the other shit... |

Kill the cheerleader. Kill her friends. Kill the show. Save the world (of actors who want to keep their dignity).

Don't put it past NBC to bring Heroes back for one last season. If for no other reason than to give it enough episodes for syndication.
A 13-episode renewal with a slashed budget wouldn't surprise me. |

"Hmm ... we've been flip flopping all the characters a lot and focusing on Hiro's wacky antics, Sylar's conflicted feelings and Claire's
angst, but the ratings are plummeting."
"Stupid viewers. Our show is great!" "I know! But I have a plan ... we need to change all the characters' motivations again, put in EVEN MORE of Hiro's wacky antics, Sylar's conflicted feelings and Claire's angst! That'll bring those viewers back." "Oh and let's introduce and kill a few minorities and women." "Perfect." |

I miss badass Hiro, too. and I miss Gill Boy. we saw him for what? 1 episode before he escaped into the ocean? Was he eaten by a shark or something?

Alex (gill boy) had an AWESOME story arc in the online graphic novels where he teamed up with Micah, West, Sparrow Redhouse, and Abby (Claude's daugther)
and worked as Rebel to help special evade being captured during volume four.
It easily should have been on the actual show instead of the crap they gave us instead. It was an awesome story arc. |

Whatever happened to Ali Larter's character? Didn't she move in with the Circus Freaks? How come they never show her?
