SUSIE SMITH went to California went to the main Party to rub elbows with her fellow "celebrities" But there is no visual evidence that she mingled in the Hotel, attended Sandra's private party, appeared shopping on Hollywood, or any number of West Hollywood clubs. Those shots if such exists were taken 40 minutes away surrounded by her benefactor Bruce Kanegai and her pals. Susie is by her own admission leary of "fans" and this followiing she has on Facebook is a ruse. In fact several question that its not her teenage son or husband. We have met her at two events and her "inner circle" unfortunately did not include fans. I saw one or two pictures taken in an entire weekend each time. Its several seasons so soon she will be fogotten. What makes her stick out as she is definitely "high maintainence" Let her JOIN the other runner ups in obscurity.

She is never welcoming of fan attenton and heard to many breached security and on the GUEST List which made her uncomfortable. EVERYTHING makes her uncomfortable. Wow, what is this about?? Me not like my FANS! That's nuts! I talk to my fans all the time. I'm not sure what you mean by breached security; I have no idea what the hell that is all about. In fact security was fantastic at the reunion. I did ask if I could have one of the masks off the walls, but the security guy said "No mam :)" I tried, thought it would have been cool to have one, but no such luck for me. Uncomfortable, hummm I danced and talked to as many people as I could. Sure I missed a quite a few people, but I could only get to so many. I think I felt the most uncomfortable trying to take my picture with Mark Burnett and Jeff probst, but that's it. I had a great time at the CBS reunion. I did see some fans there. Like Michael, Big Mike, and a few others, but honestly I wanted to meet some of the Survivors just like the fans that were there. I felt like a fan myself !!!! I'm sorry whoever is saying this is feeling I am not welcoming to fans and I am looking uncomfortable. I hope I can make a better impression on them whoever they are next time. I do apologize to whoever you are. Come join me on facebook and chat with me, maybe we can become friends and you can get to know me better. Come check out my pictures. Well anyway this is silly. Not that I owe anyone an explantion, but I will explain. Ruth Marie and Misty also were at Bruce's. We were his guests. Bruce did want to attend and quite frankly we all did, but we figured we see everyone Saturday. Plus we didn't want to impose Bruce to have to drive us everywhere. It was kind of hm to let us stay with him. I did feel badly for not making it, especially since I did want to meet so many of them and plus if would have been great to have taken more pictures. I do regret that, but understand I didn't want to impose or be ungrateful of Bruce's kindness. So we went with whatever worked best for Bruce. On Friday we still had to go to the airport to pick up Ruth Marie, then Nancy Kanegai went to pick up Misty. It really was a long day. Shoot I do feel I didn't make it over Friday!! I am sorry for that, but I can't go back now. I do see how you may have thought I was FAN SHY, but I am seriously I'm not. I am sorry Last Edited By: susa1 01/19/10 10:41 PM. Edited 1 times.

Trent was not in LA with me, but he has been to Louisville with me. My husband Todd has always come with me. I can't believe firechat doesn't think my son is real or for that matter my family. They are real. Oh as for the parites. It's true I am not a big partier, but that's not because I don't like fans. I love people in general. I just don't drink much at all and sometimes crowded places make my ears hurt LOL. NO seriously, in fact Peg Crowley and I tell each other sometimes too much of the parties is a lot to take in, but it's not anything personal to anyone. Just not my thing. I am that way back here at home too. I enjoy good chat, but once it gets loud or too crowded I go home or go wherever I am staying at. Don't take it personal ok, it's just me. Susie Im assuming that of the 270 pics you took how many were fans? Why post only nine with your fellow survivor all at the Party Do you have shots at Any of the other events? You also missed out the photo shot, and numerous parties. Please refute me and tell me which events you Attended besides the Party. Your future is what in Survivor? where will you be >>>

Also, now that you've spent the a good portion of the week with the amazing Misty Giles, please tell us about her and how awesome she is.

Jonathon can dance by the way :) I didn't attend any hotal events, but again I wish we all could have made it there, oh well apparently we missed out. Thank you firechat, I am friendly. I hope I have cleared up whatever it was that bothered you about me, but if it hasn't well then it's on you. I can't do anything about that. Thanks for at least reading my post and allowing me to clear it up some anyway. Susie :)

A shame, as I was enjoying your original post. Fact - Susie is probably the most approachable and nicest Survivor there is. She's always happy to answer questions from fans. By her own admission, she too is a HUGE fan of the show. I have asked her to post on another Board with me, and she has done so many, many times, sharing with us her experiences (nothing spoilerish or that could be construed as violating her Non-Disclosure Agreement) on the show in Gabon. As for her husband and son, she talks about them a lot and it's quite clear that this is one very happy mother and wife. Fact - she has many friends on Facebook, and I know quite a few of them and they all say how great she is in that she's so welcoming of questions. Not only does she post info about her life, but also pics. And to top it off, she sometimes also posts on there that she will be in a certain area, if any fans want to come ask her questions. That doesn't sound to me like someone who's "uncomfortable" or "leary" of fans. Also, other Survivors also posted pics of Susie at the 10th Anniversary Party on Facebook. Fact - she also posted here at Sucks, answering many of our questions. Even when a few posters slammed her, she kept her dignity and continued to answer questions from fans. Without a doubt, from the viewpoint of fans, she is probably the most approachable Survivor around.
