Colby, Rupert, Russell , Parv and Coach are all big names and many people know who they are. When I tell people about the HvV and I mention Rupert and Colby are back for the new season they are excited to hear. But then I'll say and my fav Sandra is back, and without exception, every single person that I spoke to had no recollection of who she was until I told them she was the winner of 'Ruperts' season'. So they are just running ads that attempt to bring in the most viewers.. nothing more.

If they wanted to bring in viewers, they would focus on those players. Again, it doesn't mean Parvati wins. Just that she's in that core group of players who will play a big role in the upcoming season.

James - mumbles Boston Rob - too old and not as famous as Rupert, Colby or Jerri. JT - not as popular Steph - see Boston Rob Tom - to the average viewer: Tom who? Cirie - was shown...and again, zero sex appeal.

Other people only have 1 or 2 of those. That's why Parvati is shown, and the others are not. I doubt it has anything to do with who wins or even who goes far.

Why would the show want the viewers to get anyone excited about people who leave early? I feel in the promo the are using known people. The facts are Sandra is prob going to be the least remembered Survivor going into the season. So it would make 0 sense to use her to promote the show. For casual viewers its a toss up between Danielle and Sandra on who is remembered less.

Not to mention The FVF Finale is still the LOWEST RATED finale in Survivor History. So considering Parvati's win is the lowest rated win in the series history i would highly doubt she is very popular and also highly doubt that season was very popular. Survivor All Stars increased viewership about 1 million viewers from Pearl Islands. Survivor Fans vs. Favorites decreased about 2 million viewers from China. That tells you how popular that season was. LOL LOL LOL!

The reason the season average probably picked up in Gabon Tocantins was because Micronesia was so well-recieved. Remember people didn't know Parvati won until she won, therefore the low rating had nothing to do with the winner.

Good observation. They are also younger than Randy, Coach, and Jerri (Tyson has season ties to the older folks). They are also 4 girls plus 2 guys with a history (Rob) or gameplan (Russ) of alligning with women.

The vote changes at TC from one of the Hero boys (Rupert I believe) to Danielle b/c she sort of snaps or says some things at TC.
