So here's a question I haven't noticed brought up anywhere... In the original Borneo airing, there was a scene I distinctly remember when Ramona is
talking about how Jenna is her only white friend in her life. Then Ramona starts to cry at camp and Jenna hugs/consoles her.
In the DVD release and online and whatnot, that scene is edited out. WTF? I thought that was a pretty touching scene. Anyone else notice this or know why they cut it out after the initial airing? |

My dvd has a scene with Ramona talking about Jenna being her only white friend.

THAT part is still there, yes... But they cut out a scene following it where Jenna is consoling a crying Ramona.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered that...I know I haven't seen the original airing in a few years but I thought I saw that scene as
well. Maybe not.

That scene is on the Special Edition DVD that comes with the package. |

Other moments cut out of the S1 DVD:
Rudy saying Sonja was like a dying cat who needed to be put to sleep or something along those lines. and Rudy saying something about them all being part of an MTV generation. or is that all in still included? |

I remember a confessional where Rudy said that voting out Sonja was like putting an old dog to sleep. I thought that confessional was left off the DVD but I still have my VHS copy of ep. 2 of Borneo and it wasn't included on the original broadcast. That confessional might be included on the greatest and most outrageous moments DVD that was released before they decided to release the entire season. One of Rudy's confessionals that was left off the DVD was the one right before the episode 6 obstacle course IC where Rudy admitted that he told the Green Berets that Richard was queer. That confessional could have been excised at Rudy's request because all the contestants have to sign off before the DVD can be released. |

About Ulong's fall...I just rewatched, and Kim seemed to be their smartest AND stupidest member. Some of her comments, such as everyone should let her eat more because she wasn't handling the starvation well and her complete lack of knowing she was almost the one voted off at the first 3 tribal council's were just so moronic. However, she knew that the men would out take the women, and had some very insightful comments about the state of Ulong and tried to warn Steph and Angie about the close bond between the men. Her prediction was almost roght but Steph actually saved herself by voting off BJ in the tribal council where Angie left causing BJ to turn on James because he thought James had voted for him. And other things Kim said were things Ulong SHOULD have tried. Although Kim herself was completely worthless at camp, her suggestion of everyone stop working to save energy for challenges was something that the tribe needed to try. Although not doing work in camp COULD have been disasterous, the tribe needed to win, and it would have been a good way to conserve energy, but since Kim was so pointless in camp, and no one seemed to like her, nobody listen to her suggestions. In a way I think Kim could have saved Ulong, but she was just too bad at challenges unfortunately, and you can't really blame Angie and Steph for voting her off.

Here's a shocking omission- in the episode 2 immunity challenge, Kim couldn't dive down because of her contacts. FUCK YOU, PROBST!

Christy Smith's vote for a winner in season 6.
I firmly believe that Christy mis-understood Probst's instructions, that she being the bitter, hate filled girl that we saw was not really listening and her vote was actually a vote AGAINST Jenna Morrasca, not for her. I think if we ever are shown the video of it, we will see her come up to vote, write Jenna's name down quickly and she will look up and you can tell in the video that there has been an edit of what she said. The actual footage I think she will go into a hate filled pitch against Jenna and make it clear she hopes she loses, making it clear she thought she was voting for a winner. Personally, I wish that Rob C had gotten into the final 2 in that case. Heidi, Alex- 100% they will vote for Jenna to win over Rob C. Butch, Matt- 100% they will vote for Rob C to win over Jenna. Deena- could have gone either way IMHO based on the constant "pro-female" tirades she made on the show, but for the sake of this, she goes for Rob C to win over Jenna. Dave Johnson- If we are to take him at his word about how he dislikes dishonesty and stuff (and even month's after the show wrapped, in his exit interviews, he still maintained that Daniel Lue was a dishonest person for the high crime of saying they caught lots of fish), if we are to take Dave at his word, then there is no way, based on his dislike of Daniel Lue's dishonest ways that he would respect what Rob C did on the show. Add to it the times Dave was a part of a "going on eye candy/good looks" pecking order of the females, and you can see that in all likelihood, Dave Johnson would not have voted ROB C and would have gone for Jenna. This puts us at 3 votes for Rob C and 3 votes for Jenna M to win Survivor Amazon. The thought that Christy would have written Jenna's name down in anger, thinking she was voting against her, would be the ultimate Hall of Shame moment for Christy, and we the fan's would say forever that Rob C was "robbed", but the fact would be that the juror's vote was what it was- if Burnett made it clear that yes, they could have told Christy what she was doing and "Is that REALLY what you want" but if Mark Burnett and Probst both claim that "Yes we saw it and we knew she had misunderstood what I had said, but we felt we could not just walk up to her and tell her that without compromising the game" and we would still be talking about it to this day.
