Regardless of whatever's going on upthread, I'm saddened by this loss, and surprised at how saddened I am.
I've known at least one woman to be claimed by breast cancer, and never met Jenn. A real life loss vs. a Survivor contestant loss? Plus. Let's face it. All she did on the show was to babysit Katie during the long Koror ascendance and maybe relieve the guy with the beard's "stress." Lovely chick, I'm sure, but not exactly America's Sweetheart teritory. Yet here I sit, bummed out. Lessons to be learned? I'm torn. Whatever else, RIP Jenn. |

I loved how Jenn always looked so beautiful without looking at all dolled up or pancaked. She had such a natural beauty, inside and out.

I think this really hits a nerve for hardcore fans because she is sadly the first to go in the franchise's history and if you were to guess from the entire
cast of Survivors - without knowing what happened to them after the season - no one would have picked her. Plus we are in a sense slightly connected to the
Survivors just from those who post here, so taking all that together it hits close to home.

It's so weird to look at all the pics of her from when she was on the show, knowing she already had cancer then and didn't even know it. What a shame.
I'm just feeling so sad over this. A good friend of mine is a breast cancer survivor but it makes me worry for her in the future.
