Depending on Strasburg, they could find themselves finishing 3rd or 4th in the division. As always, there are a lot of X factors. Get another front rotation starter on the Mets, and they could become a favorite. Also, get like 1 more big bat on the Giants, and they could be unstoppable. The Cards have a nice pitching staff as of now, but Chris Carpenter and Brad penny are huge injury risks, and if they go down, they're looking at a really bad rotation.Similarly, if Alfonso Soriano and Geovany Soto, who shed 38 pounds since we last saw him can rebound from abysmal 2009s, The Cubs and Cards could be neck and neck. Then again, you never no. Maybe the Padres or Blue Jays will surprise us all. OK, I wont go that far.

The 23-year-old outfielder was the Most Valuable Player in last year's Arizona Fall League, where major league clubs send their top prospects each autumn. But Desme, a lifelong Catholic, plans to enter a seminary this summer. "I was doing well at baseball. But I really had to get down to the bottom of things - I love the game, but I aspire to higher things," he explained. "I wasn't at peace where I was at. I have no regrets." Here is the rundown on the White Sox' makeover this offseason: The new-look White Sox were formed by a busy offseason. Slugger Jermaine Dye (washed up) was not re-signed. The White Sox added a third baseman in Mark Teahen (better) and a new left fielder and leadoff hitter in Juan Pierre (much better). They signed veterans Andruw Jones (suspect) and Omar Vizquel (old), while bringing back another veteran, Mark Kotsay (can hit), to strengthen their bench. They added J.J. Putz (oy vay) to the bullpen. They’re counting on an injury-free season from Carlos Quentin (finally healthy) and a better performance from Alex Rios (should perform), who struggled greatly after being signed off the waiver wire from Toronto in August. And Gordon Beckham (potential superstar), who had a strong rookie season after being called up in June, has been moved to second base from third. Plus Peavy in the rotation followed by Buehrle, Danks, Floyd and Garcia. Lotta ifs but if everything goes right this could be a really good team.

They diefintely will have one of the best pitching staffs in the game, rotation and pen,but their offense is very iffy. They will need resurgence from Andruw Jones, Carlos Quentin, and Alex Rios, and a repeat performance from Gordon Beckham. There are a lot of ?s in the offense. Their only competiton should be the Twins, but once the playoffs, some, their rotation is right up there with Boston and the Yankees.

Willis disagrees with the Tigers' medical assessment of an anxiety disorder, but conceded that it got so bad that there were occasions last year when he was afraid of taking the mound, unsure of his ability to locate the strike zone. "I lost confidence in myself," Willis said. "I can admit that to myself now." After spending time at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Arizona this off-season, he's convinced that he'll approach the 2010 season with a better mental approach. He'll at least get a look for the fifth spot in the rotation during Spring Training, but there's little hope left for the 28-year-old to recapture his past magic.
