iCarly, really? I wouldn't say this show is mature at all, I watched it once with my cousin and I saw myself rolling my eyes. This show is just really stupid, I miss Nick when I was growing up - Rugrats, Doug, Ren and Stimpy, Hey Arnold, CatDog, and the old Spongebob episodes (new ones suck), and Invader Zim was pretty funny

Invader Zim had what, a season and a half? I liked it too when I was growing up, but its such a cult show.

Yep, although there was a full season 2 in various forms whether it was scripts/sketches/almost completed episodes.

It has its moments. There are some episodes that are just so downright stupid, but there are some that are so well-written. The guy who made and writes for iCarly is the same guy that wrote/created All That and Kenan & Kel which were two great classic Nick shows that I loved growing up, not to mention The Amanda Show.

As a 45 yr old that has had to suffer through Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, The Jonas Brothers & other atrocities, take my word - ICarly is leaps and bounds better than what else is offered to the tween/teen market. And yeah, I enjoy it, even without the kids around, lol. |

My only problem with this show is that they have the fat lil kid shirtless most of the time. No need for that.

You can't be hating on Gibby.

This show has it's moments when it reaches high levels of absurdity.
Also it's apparently beating the shit out of Heroes. iCarly > Heroes. |

Nick does a good job of making every episode a viewing event. Almost like each episode is a movie.

It's tolerable, MUCH BETTER than anything on Disney.
...Nothing will EVER beat Kenan & Kel though. |

Nothing will beat The adventures of Pete & Pete or All That.
But, when you compare this show to all the other tween like shows, this one is definitely the best. |

Regardless of how good anything is now, it probably won't compare with even the crappiest shows from old school Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon's Tween Comedy iCarly iCrushes Fox's Jack Bauer
Author: karen greco Published: January 21, 2010 at 7:57 pm Share 6 Even the brute force of 24's Jack Bauer could not defeat the feisty teens of iCarly. The Monday, January 18 premiere of Nickelodeon's iCarly: iSaved Your Life topped the ratings for all broadcast programming in its time slot, including the season premiere of the popular Fox action/drama 24, which came in second place by 5% with 11.4 million total viewers. iCarly follows the on-air antics and off-air adventures of three teens and one crazy older brother — Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), along with her best friends Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress) — who star in a hit webshow, and big bro Spencer (Jerry Trainor). iCarly features novel viewer interaction: fans of the show can upload their own wacky original videos to www.iCarly.com, with the chance that their creation will be worked into the television program. In iCarly iSaved Your Life, Freddie saves Carly from an out-of-control taco truck. Because of his heroism, his three-season-long crush on Carly comes to fruition. The millions of fans who tuned in to witness Carly and Freddie’s hotly anticipated first kiss made iSaved Your Life the highest rated live-action series premiere for the Nickelodeon. The network embarked on a iCarly marketing push in 2009, debuting several iCarly themed items at 2009’s Toy Fair in New York City, including a toy replica of Sam’s Remote (used by Sam for sound effects during the iCarly webcast) and an iCarly microphone. Build-A-Bear Workshop is pre-launching a special edition iCarly bear. The iHeart iCarly Weekend, which is an RSVPed special event, takes place on January 22 and 23. --- Take that Jack Bauer. |
