I hope JJ doesn't become the new Roman, the ever present menace, because I don't find him compelling in the least.
I actually had to hide my eyes at the Marjene/Ben thing.

This season's plots are all picking up steam now and I'm totally engrossed again. There are always so many balls up in the air on this show.

Albie is an ugly asshole, but he has a fairly nice weiner (wiener?) | ||

That's all I want to say (except that I wouldn't mind watching Marg and Ben do the nasty).

You realize you don't have to type anything in the subject line, right? But um, I didn't see a weiner! Did you?

I think a woman pulling a gun in a building in DC would be all over the news, even if Bill somehow sweet talked the cops into releasing her. (Which was ridiculous.) Bill's entire political career would be destroyed before it started.
This episode more than ever reinforced my desire to see everything blow up spectacularly in Bill's face so the wives just finally leave him. He needs to be knocked down a few pegs. |

I remember back when this show started, some critics were saying that this show glorifies polygamy, but if anything, even without the Juniper Creek aspect, this show paints the polygamy as fucked (to put it nicely) and Bill may be the most villainous character, if not the most delusional.
Re: Opening. Yeah, I'm feeling it even more. Everything is such a contrast to the GOD ONLY KNOWS opening right down to the music, which is fine, because the bloom is definitely off the rose. No one in Bill's family (with the possible exception of Sarah) seems to be in a good spot - everyone's headed for disaster (including Margene). Why did they recast the redhead? |

I am not feeling this season. I am having a hard time suspending belief. Bill is running for elective office, and in this age of investigative journalism, he doesn’t think that his opponent(s) will find out about his other “two wives”. Especially when everyone already knows! Nikki was caught with a gun at a fundraiser in the Nation’s capital and somehow Bill talked them out of arresting her. Joey and Wanda had flashlights and headlights blaring when they were desecrating Roman, “The Prophet’s” grave, but they didn’t think that anyone would spot them. And, if Margene didn’t have any relative to accompany her to the studio, why didn’t she just ask her good friend and neighbor Pam? I wonder if Roman was in the hotel room with Alby and Dalton – the whole time.

I always skip the intro so it's not a huge thing for me. I loved Sissy Spacek's character. I hope she visits Bill's lovely home(s).
This season is pulling me back in, somewhat. Bill running for office is ridiculous, but the other storylines are fun. I wonder which of Roman's wives is the slacker. I would think they rotate some kind of year long mourning vigil beside his grave. Even as a figment of Albie's imagination, I was happy to see Roman back. A big wtf at the choice of children's programming. Loved the caricature. |

Is it wrong that I thought Margene and Ben looked really cute together?

Are guns not allowed in DC? She said she had a permit. Wouldn't they have a metal detector if they were worried about guns?
Are you telling me no one carries a gun in DC? I really have no idea cuz I hate guns and I am very naive to how that all works. I think they should be outlawed. |

Yes, it's wrong. Ben is a child.

It actually would make sense (in an ironic sense) if Margy were to take on a second husband who simultaneously was her spiritual son...

How old is Ben? I thought he graduated from hs already.

again...in their world, age is irrelevant and could be a detriment if he is too old...

I thought their reaction was because she pulled it out!
