Stone Cold was great. Dude has really good comedic instincts.
Chuck is 9 times out of 10 completley predictable - that is part of it's charm. The strength of the premise, performances and writing are what make it great. So even though you can call pretty much everything that will happen, you still enjoy it... or at least I do. |

Hey, with KK on the cast now AND Sarah I don't give a damn.
I hope they give her more episodes than Jill got-because she's MUCH hotter than Jill. BTW-Stone Cold was pretty damn funny too. |

I like Casey becoming Morgan's muscle at the Buy More. It was a nice tip to one of Adam Baldwin's early films "My Bodyguard".

One can only (safely) assume that Lana Lang is a villain. Don't really care for the Superman dude. His part isn't very likeable. Casey as always was hilarious as Morgan's muscle. |

Pretty solid episode, although I missed Awesome and Ellie. Casey was the highlight of tonight though-pulling a hypnosis or w/e that was on Lester.

I wonder if Ellie/Awesome and the Buy More cast have to split a paycheck this season.

Awe, nobody watched Chuck last night but me?
So Chuck is becoming an agent and Sarah doesn't like it. What happened to Superman? Love Morgan as the new "boss". LOL at his office. I am not liking the chick from Smallville. I hope she goes soon... she's shady for sure. Casey going to the Weapons Conference to relax <3 |

Last night was perfect viewing -- start with 24 and finish with Chuck.
Awesome was hysterical. Morgan and his office with the French movie posters. WeapCon. The laser pen bit had me crying, I was laughing so hard. Morgan hiring Jeffster to look into Chuck is going to be golden. |

X to the Weapons con. That was brilliant.
Christy, I think in the beginning of the episode, they said Superman was on another mission and would return soon. And I really hope they dont turn ex-Smallville girl into a bad guy. Theyve already done that storyline with Jill. |

I specifically asked for the same pen as you!!!
I love that they put Chuck & Casey in the most semi gay situations possible |

Agreed about Hannah - been there and done that if she turns out to be a spy.
Overall though, the show is slowly transitioning from 'comedy first, action heavy, with elements of drama' to a 'comedy first, action heavy, drama heavy' and I for one couldn't be more excited. About mid-way through last season people started complaining about the formulaic nature of a lot of episodes. And even though I think there have been only a handful of bad episodes of this show, I understood that claim and at times agreed. But now, the game could really start to change. With everyone in Chuck's life getting involved, there is going to be real stakes involved. Up until this season, there wasn't much of that. You knew that the 3 principal characters weren't going anywhere and then by proxy, figured that they weren't gonna kill Morgan or Awesome off 'just cause'. Everything is slowly starting to connect and a really intense/angst-ridden atmosphere could result. If Schwartz and company can find a way to successfully and smoothly merge that with what makes the show great, it's fun nature, then this could quickly transition from one of the more "enjoyable" shows on television to just flat out one of the best. |

I watched this for the first time last night because I went to high school with the guy who played Manoosh, and I think all of us former drama kids tuned in to watch him. I didn't understand half of the stuff they were talking about, or the weird eye things when he put on the glasses, but it was an enjoyable hour. I was surprised to see Ryan McPartlin acting in anything after how big of a disaster he was on Passions.

Kindly provide me with Manoosh's RL phone number. I have a nice jewish boy fetish, and he will more than do.

One actor ready and willing to slap the A on his forehead as Marvel's patriot is Ryan McPartlin, best known as "Captain Awesome" on TV's "Chuck". As McPartlin tells Moviehole: "It is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we'll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome for the time being." McPartlin seems like he'd be a great choice, at least superficially -- I don't know about his range, but he's pretty awesome as Awesome. But he's probably facing some stiff competition for the square-jawed hero. Meanwhile, Big Shiny Robot claims that actor Chad Michael Murray (HOUSE OF WAX, TV's "One Tree Hill") is telling people he's one of two finalists for the role. I personally still think "True Blood" co-star Alexander SkarsgÄrd would be the right pick, but fancasting has also tossed out names like Jensen Ackles, Matt Damon, Cam Gigandet, Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Leonardo DiCaprio, and probably Bruce Campbell. If Johnston's claim was true, we should know who'll wield the shield for sure within the next few weeks. |
