The guy who lost his hand is the same guy who plays the director in that airline commercial with the squirrel? Up till Renee did the deed I kept saying "why squirrel hate me?" over and over. They'll need to change the line in the commercial to "why Renee hate me?'
I hate the filler of the Sackhoff story line. Reminds me a bit of the crazy dad of the kid Kim babysat for back in season 2(?). |

As ludicrous as the Starbuck plot is, I'm really wondering what the hell she did that's so secretive. Why the name change? And how would she get a job with CTU of all places under an alias?

Because CTU has the worst candidate screening process ever.
Like someone mentioned earlier I think it would be a huge (and pleasant) surprise if there wasn't a mole working in CTU, I don't think that's happened in any season to date. |

This was actually a really interesting episode for Jack, kinda-sorta realizing that he was looking in a mirror. She was dead-fucking-on when she said it was exactly what he would have done.

Liked that scene at the end very much. This Renee is so bad ass.

Renee's stealing the show right now. The scene with Vladimir at the end was as good as 24 gets.
Agreeance that the Dana subplot is just plain dumb. But there's a reason they cast Katee Sackhoff, or at least I hope so. Excellent start to the season. Even the political intrigue is interesting. |

Yeah, I agree. This season is definitely getting better. I know I am in the minority, but I love subplots. I will admit that Dana's is kind of stupid right now, but I hate hate hate when the show just alternate back and forth PRESIDENT/JACK ON MISSION/PRESIDENT/JACK ON MISSION/CHLOE rinse and repeat. So as long as they don't take up more than a quarter of the show, I am enjoying the Dana-Ex/Hassan's Family/Russian Brothers subplots. It's nice to see them all eventually tie together and come to a head at the end of the season. But yeah, great start to the day, and I agree that Renee is stealing the show.

Renee is making the season for me.
And it doesn't hurt that she's smoking hot either. I like the angle of Jack looking at his past behavior through Renee's actions now. Dana/Jenny is boring me, I hope her storyline gets better. |

Another fine example of the sterling CTU background checks - Dana/Jenny gets a senior job at CTU with top secret security clearance but she was in prison for accessory to murder?? (a simple fingerprint check would blow her story) |

annie wersching (renee) started a fan facebook page last week. she posted some behind the scenes pictures from last season and actually responds to people periodically on there. seems like a very nice person and a big fan of the show before being on it

JackSparrowBauer wrote:I never watched Kim and the cougar. I've only started following the series from season 5, so I wouldn't know about sub-plots from the first 4 seasons. The sub-plot in season 6 involving Sandra Palmer and Walid Al-Rezani's impromptu undercover mission was pretty bad. It led to absolutely nothing plot related at all and was a total waste of Regina King's talents. As for good sub-plots, I enjoyed the one with Henry Taylor and the assassin. Of course season 5 had by far all the best sub-plots! Largely because most of them involved the best 24 character of all time, Martha Logan! |
