The new season is fast approaching and I will NOT be able to be a Ratings Watchdog this season, or probably even participate at all, due to a busy school schedule so someone else will need to fill that role.

I guess I have just been very lucky so far with regards to spoilers... I did see a first boot rumor a couple of months or so ago, and so I will not be posting anything until after the first episode ends (if it turns out to be true, of course).
I get the feeling that there is going to be a small group of Edgicers this season, but still, I am excited for it. Does anyone know when the new thread is going to be started? |

Wow, someone has a guilty conscience, huh? I just find it extremely unlikely that I am the only Edgicer that keeps stumbling upon all these spoilers. I didn't have to admit that I saw them, but I did. The rest of you who did should have the balls to do so as well.
Either way, if you all you spoiled people do winner picks anyway, they'll all be wrong cos it'll be the next Mick/Marcus/Amanda/Stephen again. Why even bother? It's a joke. Nobody takes Edgic seriously anymore, especially because it's obvious that spoilers are everywhere but conveniently very few Edgicers will admit that they were accidentally spoiled. It's a load of BS and I'm not buying it.  |

Though I haven't been spoiled past a couple pre-merge boots, the focus for me will definitely be more on just doing ratings, as debating with people who were spoiled about winner picks wouldn't be fun. Edgic does serve more of a purpose then predicting the winner, to me at least. Like if I want to find an entertaining episode to watch, I'll look for one where someone was OTTNN. Or if you haven't seen a season and want a general idea of what a character was like in it.
To people who do have the winner spoiled, they can (while keeping who wins to themselves) learn from that, and having the winner pre-spoiled and following along knowing who wins I could see help you find who wins in future seasons. |

I still take it seriously, and I'm so careful to avoid spoilers. I mean, there's only like 4-5 different threads I even read regularly, then there's a bunch of what-if type of threads that I'll post in a couple times.

Yeah, there are spoilers and allusions to them floating around almost EVERYWHERE. Even though winner picks ought not to be affected, since you're supposed to confess to being spoiled, I imagine they will be. It will be highly dangerous to browse winner picks in this thread, especially in the early part of the season. I am spoiled.  I'll post ratings, though, and argue for them, but put my eliminated list in spoiler brackets. I won't do winner picks. And of course I won't vote for winners/eliminated on the main site. |

I'm sorta spoiled. My cousin posted on my Facebook that "I heard [1 contestant] goes far", and I saw reference to something similar in Sucks proper. So I don't know the winner or anything other than those two rather vague but frustrating spoilers.

Okay... So what's what with the voting and stats? I find it quite useful still - i think that there is something to be said for how players trend in their edit... IN RELATION TO THEIR STORY (or lack thereof - Hello Mick anyone???).
I gotta know ASAP so i can build the new website / update the stats spreadsheet if it is required. I can build it with out winners if you guys want... doesn't matter to me. I am not spoiled, i have diligently stayed far away from anything in Sucks except for 3 threads that i have bookmarked here in the spec section. I don't want to be spoiled.. If anyone drags in spoilerish material like last season i will be truly pissed off. let me know... Also will need to know if their are going to be watchdogs for close calls etc. Opinions anyone? Warrior and FLF??? |

I don't vote, but I think you should do ratings too. Even if they are a little wonky due to some spoiled people, there are spoiled people every season. Just go without winner picks if people feel that strongly about it.

Hippo, visibility charts are relative to the total amount of spoken time, so whether it's a 10 minute episode or a 6 hour episode, the numbers will still consist of 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. That's why Jaison got like a visibility of a 2.. he was only in some of the episode, even if he was prominent.. compared to the other 3 in the finale, he was less in the end. Make sense?
We should do both ratings and winner ratings this season. People have the option to click that they've been spoiled and then the site won't let them pick winner candidates. If they lie about it, it's probably the same people who lie about their winner picks every season anyways, so there's no difference. |
