I don't really watch The View, but love Whoopi's valley girl bit. "Before there was the mall, there was the ocean."

UGH, Whoopi's valley girl crap is the worst.
Who saw Tim co-host today? What a worthless co-host. He had his ear piece and cue cards, and offered very little insight into anything. Wait, he was just like all the other co-hosts. The best part was them showing the clip of Elisabeth making a joke about Tim not being the father of her kids, and the look on his face (he had never seen it). |

Thursday Megan McCain is on? Groan. Hate her. Tracey Ullman (sic) did a spoof on her recently on her State of the Union series which was pretty funny. That's the only time I've enjoyed anything about her. Hopefully Sarah Silverman will get a few digs on Megan, but I think most of her energy will be put towards Barbara.

Oh God, Gayle Haggard is still on her 'my husband is back to being straight because I'm fucking him with a strap-on' tour. Ugh.

Question: the insurance company providing medical insurance to the Congress and Senate committees, who runs it? Is it a government insurance board for people who get elected, as Whoopi and Joy claim? It seems everyone was in agreement about that except Liz.They have a choice of insurance through the Federal Employees Plan. (FEP) It's not specifically congress and senate, it's for all Federal Employees. (CIA, FBI, Postal, FEMA, etc.) Insurers vary somewhat by state. Blue Cross, Kaiser, pretty much all of the major insurers participate depending on what is available locally. Open season is in November and they can change insurers then if they wish. So, a Senator from North Dakota may not have all the options that a Senator from NYC has, since their insurance probably covers their family back home too, and they need local providers. Because of the travel involved in the jobs, and living part of the year in DC, I would guess that most go with Blue Cross/Shield since they need available doctors in both locations, and Blue Cross allows you to see any doctor anywhere.

Wonder if they think Gabourey Sidibe will get an Oscar nom so they booked her in advance. Nominations are announced Tuesday morning. I assume Mario is on to critique the Grammies.
Won't watch either. I no longer care what they think or say. But I'll come here and see what you guys think and say. |

I used to almost never miss this show.
Now I can't even watch it. I tried after Rosie left, but God, they are insufferable, and so fucking boring and predictable, and annoying. Whoopi made me tune in, but she is just awful, not funny at all, droning. Babs is too old, WAY too old, and not a sharp old, a crotchety, close minded old. I like old. I just don't like out-of-touch and nothing to offer old. Joy is tired, same shit all the time, and also skews the show "old." Bitsy is an idiot, and an annoying one, same shit out of her mouth all the time, and talks "old." Sherri is beyond idiotic. 3 AARP members (55, 81, and 67 approx), one 43 year old nearly brain dead top heavy fool, and a 33 year old fanatic does not make for a good show. None of them exchange opinions anymore, it's just entrenched barely-civil tension. I miss Meredith, and Rosie, and Lisa (although she was squashed far too often, at least she had a brain and a life and informed opinions.) Hell, over this group, I even miss Starr. Get four women with a variety of ages (20's, 30's, 40's, and ONE 50 or 60's) and opinions, but most of all, women who bring at least basic intelligence, an ability to listen, and a few fresh skills or ideas to that table, and I would probably enjoy the show again.

Mario doesn't bring anything new to the show either. They just bring him on because he does caricatures of other celebrities, and it's become a rut with them.

Let's all pray for Gayle Haggard. This bitch is delusional. Traumatization causes the gayness, in case you were wondering.
I hate that I liked the Mario segment better than the church lady segment. Is it too early for a drink? |
