I'd love to see Nicaragua because I love to see the jungle/Central America locations, unlike most others who love the more, uhm, well, like Japan or something

Having to quickly move and set up everything at a new location during the short break between seasons would be DECIDEDLY more expensive than them going to a new location months later. Also, you know what's a good, enjoyable schedule for the crew? Eighty plus straight days away from home. The back-to-back seasons plan is absolutely about budgeting.

I don't want to see Egypt or cold location SO BADLY but if they did then I would feel content that Survivor has visited all the TYPES of locals it could. We have had rainy islands, dry islands, forests, tundras, rain forests, outbacks.....all types of places....cept an entirely desert type situation or a cold local.

They went the more-intense route with Africa, and never tried it again. It's just miserable for everybody, and no water-based challenges sucks.

Nicaragua does not surprise me in that it has become a popular cheap place for 20 somethings to back pack travel. I have known a few people who got great deals and said the beaches were amazing.
It would surprise me that they would go back to a Central American country after all the complaints about Guatemala being such a difficult location. |

Hmmm. To me, Survivor: Nicaragua doesnt really froll of the tounge or sound astehtic, but I guess anything is possible if they did Survivor:Tocantins(although it once you say it right, it sounds fine)

winterfruits wrote: (1) Sounds like Jeff saving face, and we have no actual word from Mark Burnett about the decision, but I concede that point; (2) Why would it be more expensive to pay for 3 flights (US... location X... location Y... US) than it would be to pay for 4 flights (US... location X... US... location Y.... US)? Your dispute makes no sense: it could be about budget cuts EVEN WITH moving to a different location. |

First off, equipment = more than just cameras and soundpacks; not everything can just be up and gone in a snap. Second, flights are a financial concern, yes, but not nearly to the degree that labor is.

I doubt it will look anything like Tocantins. Most definitely a Panama/Guatemala mix.

Why is everyone presuming that they intend to film the Final Tribal Council of one season then the very next day turn around and start shooting the next season? Where does it say production has to be 80 days? And where does it say that all crew members have to work all 80 of those days? |

Well, they only had 10 days between S19 and S20. Not exactly overnight, but not exactly three months either.

Another Central American location for S21. I'll not see the show. Contestants may not suffer malaria or tropical disease causes.
