I happen to be watching SYTYCD, only because I am waiting for Glee to start... the male judge just gave a shout out to Kelly Osbourne and her
"growth" on DWTS. That kind of surprised me that he would mention a "rival" network and dancing show...

ABC has announced that Dancing with the Stars' tenth season will premiere with a two-hour performance episode on Monday, March 22 at 8PM ET/PT.
Following its debut, all of the tenth-season couples will return for another two-hour performance show on Monday, March 29 at 8PM ET/PT. Home viewers will be able to vote following each episode. The first live tenth-season results show will then air the following night at 8PM ET/PT -- with one couple being eliminated based on a combination of the judges' scores and home viewer votes from both performance episodes. ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told reporters at the Television Critics Association's press tour on Tuesday that Dancing with the Stars would be "scaled back" for its tenth season, according to Access Hollywood. McPherson added it will feature fewer celebrity participants after last fall's ninth season had 16 couples -- the most ever for Dancing with the Stars, which had featured 13 couples during its seventh and eighth seasons. "We had some lucky breaks [with] people dropping out the last time," added McPherson, Access Hollywood reported. Dancing with the Stars' tenth-season cast will be announced at a later date. |

Samantha Harris has quit as co-host of Dancing with the Stars, meaning the show will no longer have one of more entertaining components. From nonsensical babble to awkward blunders (like holding a mic in Marlee Matlin’s face as the deaf actor signed) to doing her job badly, she will be missed. Or not. Samantha told People that the show “could not have been more of a dream job. I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.” So why leave? Because she’s working another dream by working on Entertainment Tonight’s weekend edition. “I interned at Entertainment Tonight 15 years ago, the summer after my sophomore year at Northwestern and I dreamed of working in the same space as hosts Mary Hart and Mark Steines and now I’m living that dream,” she said. Tom Bergeron told the magazine that he’s “going to miss Samantha. We had a nice rapport off-camera and on,” but said, “I’m hoping this frees her up for us to have her as a contestant.” Producers are still searching for a replacement. AND THE WORLD REJOICES!!! |

^ Thank God. She was horrible! I'm also pleased to see that there will be fewer couples to start with. It's hard to keep them all straight when you have so many hasbeens on one stage.

Actually, they need someone as quick/smart as Tom, so he can banter. Or at least someone that could handle Tom's dry sense of humor. I think if he said half the stuff he was thinking to Samantha, she would have either not understood it or taken offense. |
