The reason LMP and T&T are so appalling is that these are little children and most times the children are NOT doing it for themselves. It's crazy past-their-primes or never-was-pretty/thin to begin with moms who force their children into it (especially the little boys!) and live vicariously through them. And yet, we can't look away. Because we're not those bad parents. |

The first episode tonight is a repeat: Shelbie vs. Destinee (damn parents need to learn how to spell). Mr. Michael: "Crown me, I'm here!" and "The animals had Dr. Seuss" [say, what?] "and the pageant circuit has ME." (blech ..... New episode at 10:00, Karate Kid Wow Wear -- heeeeeeeeee-YAH! ETA: I just noticed the "LMP" t-shirts the girls wear for the interview segment. The cartoon on the front is of a blue-eyed blonde which is, I guess, Mr. Michael's idea of what a "perfect" little girl is. I have to wonder how the "ethnic" girls feel about wearing it?

Okay, I was looking to bump this for the HORRID new sound effects and irritating pop-ups reminding us of the contestants' names that magically appeared in tonight's ep...
BUT THEN... Gold. A kid actually fell off the stage during Wow Wear. And God help me, I laughed. I did. ETA: Aw, the little girl who won looked GENUINELY happy and surprised and cried (good tears)...unlike so many of these entitled spoiled brats who just expect to win. Her mom was total trash, but Kiersten is adorable.

Laughing is good for the soul - it sets you free! When these parents sign up their kids for this stuff they get what they asked for.
Not the children's fault of course, but the fall was still funy as hell. Trust me - I teach pre-school - it was funny! |

I haven't watched yet, but I have it on my DVR (I need help, I know) and will have to make sure I watch it just for the fall.

The funniest thing about the little girl falling off the stage was the mom. She was all GET UP. No real concern that her kid was hurt/humiliated.
Plus that little girls wow wear.....ugh just ugh...I mean most of them are slutted up but the bare midriff....too much. I kind of fell asleep after the girl fell, so I didn't know that the cute little white trash girl won. That's good, I liked her. |

Mardi Gras fall girl was shown in the opening of The Soup! Hopefully we get to relive that clip again and again with some added hilarity/snarky commentary from Joel!

Macey, the little lipstick-eater last night was adorable! Glad she won! Too bad she's named after a department store.

I think the host was on the rag for this episode. He was even more of an insufferable c.unt than usual.

I am ashamed to admit I watch this show, though I usually watch in in fast forward. Felt so sorry for Jayne, the little girl who was sick and still tried to go through the pagent. The money spent...the pressure these kids are under....ugh, why do I watch?
