I LOVE that clip! Kimmel has done pretty well with this whole thing. His show-long Jay Leno impersonation, his "10 at 10" with Leno, and now this.
Well done. I didn't know he had it in him.

Kimmel has been fantastic. Can't say much for his taste in suits and ties though.

Does anyone have the You Tube of the follow up to that one? There was more, but I missed most of it. :~(

Wait! There was no audience during Jay's interview on Oprah?
You mean, like when Tyra interviewed Naomi Campbell? OMG, that's even more hilarious! Was Oprah afraid she and the Big Jaw would get booed? (Btw, when was that Kimmel monologue aired? On the 28th with Will Arnett? Or 27th with Mel Gibson? I wanna download the whole ep.) |

Kimmel's got gigantic brass balls. He doesn't give a shit about anything and says and does what he wants. Kudos to him.

I've been a fan of Kimmel's show since it first started back in 2002? 2003? whatever. But It's nice that this whole late night drama has widened his fanbase significantly.

The above Kimmel episode aired on the 28th.
I agree Holly -- I love Kimmel and I think he comes out of this looking really smart and he's very entertaining. |

I've also watched Jimmy since he started. I loved his show from the minute it started because I realized that he really didnt care what people thought and was willing to do and say almost anything. Some of the best episodes were at the beginning when he would have weekly cohosts. Snoop Dogg was hilarious, and it might sound crazy, but after the week when Mike Tyson was on I came away thinking he was hilarious and a gentle soul, which is a weird thing to discover from a late night talk show. But Jimmy did it.

If Jimmy would cut down on all the friends and family schtick that goes on during his show, he'd probably do much better in the ratings.
His slightly pugnacious, working class aura is perfect for launching comedic crackbacks on Leno. |

Hell no, I love uncle Frank and Aunt Chippy. Every time I see them together I wonder how they were ever married.

Aunt Chippy is entertaining. In my opinion, Guillermo and Uncle Frank need to have their airtime reduced.

Conan should have taken the midnight deal and when Jay's half hour show got canceled, then the Tonight Show would have been moved back to 11:30! I like all the late night guys, so I wish them all good luck.
