And exactly what are these "businesses" that you and your wife have out there in nowhere Nevada? Can't she just hire contract or temporary employees like you do and when/if that credit comes make them permanent?

The shipment of goods overseas rose 18.1 percent, far outpacing a 10.5 percent rise in imports. Net exports added 0.5 percentage point to GDP. Basically, the cupboard was bare and it was time to restock it, not because consumer spending demanded it.

Just off the top of my head: - To prevent major outbreaks of diseases that could easily spread out of Africa into first-world countries. - Not all third-world families lack the basics to feed and care for their families; they just lack access to specific vaccinations. - Because we're a compassionate people, and along with trying teach them how to take care of themselves, we also want to prevent them from losing their children. forgot to add: - Investing in other cultures/countries can have immensely positive returns over time.
