So much crammed into such a short episode for a season finale. I am really bummed this show is over so soon. Is there any chance Whedon will do a movie and maybe cover the 10 years leading up to Epitaph 1 & 2? I am just left wanting more.
I barely blinked an eye when Ballard bit it. I didn't really care and I definitely did not feel any chemistry between him and Echo/Caroline |

I thought it was a great ending, I feel like Whedon has bridged his Buffyverse with the Firefly world and that he revisted so many of the themes and ideas.

The fact Ballard died and Alpha lived were the two most annoying parts of the finale.
However the rest? Soooo good. Dollhouse is officially my favorite Wheldon production Dollhouse season > Angel = Buffy > Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (excluding Captain Hammer) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> watching Heroes Season 3/4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Captain Hammer's moments >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Firefly. |

This was just Buffy Series Finale lite. Sacrifice by a main character (Spike/Topher), a sudden death (Anya/Ballard), even red-haired lesbianics.

It also was Serenity Lite Tech zombies/ Tech addicts, everybody just quiting/everybody just waking up, video messages from super geniuses from beyond the grave Mr Universe/Benedict.
Which is why I called it a BRIDGE and why it rules |

This show is definitely up there with Buffy in terms of being so amazing.
So sad to see Topher gone like that. Eliza is such a fantastic actor. This whole cast was amazing. Just wish the show was able to squeeze one more season cause there was so much more to give. This is definitely a show to own on DVD. |

It wasn't exactly on par with the quality writing and acting gumption that can be found weekly on NBC's Heroes, but I suppose it was satisfactory. However, I feel that the ending tended to leave a few loose ends untied, such as why there are no comfortable pillows inside the lotus petal that Echo slept in, or how they didn't delve into what type of produce was being grown in the garden.
I was left empty, as if I ate only one slice of pizza after the pepperoni slid off and fell on the ground. |

<3 Zach Ward and Felicia Day. Two sexiest gingers evah!
I thought it wrapped things up nicely. The Ballard death was a bummer but her uploading him was a nice touch. Anyone else just know that it was going to end with her lying down in her Dollhouse bed? I didn't see Epitaph 1. What was the "Remember" collage or whatever that Topher sees just before he dies in the explosion? |

So Nate Dushku was Ambrose right?

In Epitaph One, the collage made it seem almost like all those people in the collage had died, and it was some kind of memorial wall. But after the finale, it seems more like Topher created it. I think it said "To Remember", like he needs to remember those people because he's going crazy, not as some kind of public message.

I was a little underwhelmed by the finale to be honest. It just felt so rushed, but I guess that couldn't be helped given the circumstances. It did leave some unanswered questions. What happened to Dominic in the attic? Did he ever get out? Where did Doctor Saunders go? I wish Alpha was explored a little bit more. He was so complex and his shift into good was just so sudden. I hate how Fox ruined what could have been a few more good seasons with all this developing at a natural pace.

I wasnt happy with the ending. Maybe you have to be a huge Whedon fan to accept this ending... which apparently I am not. I like Joss but I dont understand the point of killing Ballard. Especially after showing that he keeps "knocking" and she won't let him in - for so long. There was no reason for him to become one of the 100 or so voices in her head either. That was creepy.
I was confused about the one guy leading the little girl out. He was supposed to protect their leader. She even said, I get to start over.... and then she changed back into the little girl and Caroline was gone? Why didnt Echo change? Because of her super duper spine fluid? I guess they couldnt let Ballard live because the "explosion" Topher created would have turned him back into a comatose person? Whatever... its over, my brain hurts. Did I fall asleep? |

Am I crazy? I swear we watch Dr. Saunders die in E1. Did I misunderstand that? She turns on the nerve gas (or whatever) and lays down.

Yeah. I thought Dr. Saunders died as well, but I havent seen E1 since last summer so I could be forgetting.
