Many people want If I Can't Have You, and while I like it, the song just doesn't have a strong enough chorus. The verses are stronger than the chorus. :S So I can't see it doing well. I still think Long Shot should have been the second single. It's funkier, more original and so different from the other shit being played right now. The best the tards at another certain board can come up with against this song is "OHHHHH !!111 LOLZ ITZ LIKE KATY PERRY AND STUFFS!!11ONEONE AND HOOK UP DIDZ BADS!!1111ONE SO THEREFORE EVERY SONGZ WRITTEEN BY KATY WILLZZ DOO BADS!!1111ONE!!111" tards

When I first hear AIEW I kept going back to this song, I could care who wrote on it. It's just so different and like you said, funkier and original.

Long Shot is upbeat, light hearted and has an impossibly catchy chorus. It's the perfect follow-up single to AG. Yes, it's pop ear candy but damnit, when I'm driving to the shore with the windows down and moonroof open I want pop ear candy!

I think DLMSY harkins back to her Breakaway days, it's very reiminisent of BTHE or SUBG for me so perhaps you're right that it's not the best choice for a radio single. I also think my aversion to LS is that it's another Katy perry penned song. I like Katy Perry but I never wanted either of her songs on Kelly's album and if both are released as singles that would be irritating, esp when there are Kelly written tracks that could be released.

Musically, I'd like to see her release the melodic Save You, or remix the catchy Impossible to de-emphasize the shrieky 3rd minute bridge.

I do love the verses, but not the chorus so much. Apparently they are also testing All I Ever Wanted, which is one of my favorites.

I could get behind those singles Strahlx. I think I do not hook up killed the momentum of the album. As much as I dislike LS, it's a much catchier song that IDNHU. I also like the idea of closing out the album with Cry. that song should've been released IMO instead of AG.

Great success. Never liked IDNHU for a single choice. Mediocre success. Loved AG for a single choice. Great success. So...hope I'm right again and that ITCHY is a better choice than LS. I'm all for Cry after that. It's not typical for radio but it's a very powerful ballad and fan favorite and could do great like BOY, which wasn't a typical radio single either. Doubting there will be a 5th single though if they are shooting for Sept. single with the next album. I like the idea of IWY as a summer single. Anyway, enough rambling......................

I think with pop radio being what it is it's all kinda hocus pocus anyway as far as knowing what single will do well. But if I was picking the singles I would have DLMSY, Cry, LS as must releases, Save You, AG, IDNHU and TOMT as maybes, though I probably would not release AG because of Halo and KC not being too thrilled about having it as a single. And I still have my fingers crossed that DLMSY will be next.
