Yes, I watched some of it but was able to fastforward through most of it.

Anybody else gotten their total obsession back in the last 24 hours or so? It's sad, really. I feel like just sitting and watching a countdown clock. And I've already seen the first hour.
Check back a page and read the synopsis I put in spoiler tags, it's much easier to read than the French/BabelFish one (I knew it!). Or just watch the episode...is it still up? |

The first episode that was posted was pulled but there's another one on Dark's site.

FeliciaM7 wrote:Ugghhh I don't like that theory Felicia but it is interesting. Even though bad shit happened on the island and some of them died (Charlie And... the changes were really bizarre. Like I said last night... Rose lost her fear of flying and Jack inherited it? Considering everything we saw happened BEFORE the plane crash, how could the reset have changed ANY of it??? Jack got a hair cut before the flight in the "island universe" because he knew he was gonna be stuck on an island and wanted to stay cool? But in the reality where he doesn't crash he doesn't bother with the hair cut? I dunno I dunno... I don't think Darlton are that sloppy, but something is off about this. Can wait til Tuesday so we can start talking about it all out in the open. Oh and Jack's life is going to SUCK on that island. That is if Sawyer doesn't kill him in the first few minutes of the second episode. Actually it's gonna suck for ALL of them stuck in 1977. Who knows what the Dharma people will do to them... |

Nic - They aren't stuck in 1977. They went back to some time after Desmond turned the switch and blew up the Swan hatch. Right?

I think they are still in 1977. They had the Dharma vans with them and were driving them so I had assumed that the "Incident" did nothing and they are still in the same place they were.

They definitely flashed somewhere, according to Jin. But you can't really tell to when. I think we're supposed to assume that it's after Desmond blew up the hatch, but then why is all that equipment there on top of the hole Juliet fell down (besides for dramatic effect)? Anyway, I think it's safe to say that they're not in 1977 anymore. But we haven't really got confirmation of where they are.
ETA: They were inside the van when the flash happened so the van went with them. |

Are they back in the present with Ben and Sun and everyone else (though obviously not reunited yet)? I just skipped around the ep 1 video so I probably missed a bunch, but if they did flash through time again I would assume that's where they would end up, no?

Oh God. I really couldn't hear anything then. I thought the hole looked like the hold from the "Incident" though and not the Desmond hole. However Kate did run into the backdoor of the Swan hatch and I just figured that maybe they built that door before they dug the hole but that's not making a whole lot of sense, is it?
Running off to watch again... |

The Heartbreak Yid |

- Jack goes to the restroom...he's startled by a little cut under his shirt collar. He comes back to his seat to find Desmond, who moved seats so he could read. Jack vaguely remembers meeting Desmond before, but neither can quite place each other. So if this is the original flight, what is Desmond doing there? |

OK. Just re-watched. I guess I can hear the new version better. Yes they are definitely NOT in 1977. And it is the Desmond hole.

I think all the folks on the island are the present time now.. which for them is late 2007/early 2008. Wonder how long it'll take Sun to see Jin... or for Jack to see UnLocke? : /
Seriously if I didn't believe the writers won't be done with Jack til the end, I'd think Sawyer's gonna kill him. I understand Sawyer's anger. I still feel so sad for Jack. He was brought back for what exactly?? lol So if this is the original flight, what is Desmond doing there?Maybe Desmond was on the original flight and the one we saw in 2004 was the alt? Ahhhhhhh. I really really need some answers. I just watched it again. I wish I could hear the conversation between Sawyer and Juliet!!! |

FeliciaM7 wrote:I really hated the old Control Freak Jack, he was a jerk. I love the new I Want To Believe Jack. He's sad and vulnerable, a much better character. Even New AR Jack seemed much more human. And I'm not sure about the new Sawyer. The Vendetta against Jack Because He Killed Juliet Who Was Pregnant is probably the only bad thing about the episode. I hope that's not what she says to Sawyer (could anybody actually hear what they were saying?). There is no way a woman who knows she's about to die is going to tell anyone that. But it wouldn't be Lost without a little bit of cringe-worthiness, would it? |

You know, that's probably a good thing if he's hesitant to blindly follow Locke now. I hope somehow he can see through UnLocke..
There was a spoiler about Sawyer working with Locke and it's possible if Sayid is healed in the temple that he will be changed and he will also be an UnLocker. I read a mention of Locke's camp somewhere so I expect yet another division and I'm betting Jack won't be in that camp. I love the new I Want To Believe Jack. He's sad and vulnerable, a much better character. Even New AR Jack seemed much more human. If you've been around awhile, you know I've always loved Jack, good or bad, no matter what. I get him. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Jack in the premiere. I felt like crying when he said he was sorry to Sawyer.. and when he agreed with Hurley without any argument to take Sayid to the temple for any chance at saving him. He also seemed a lot softer as reset Jack. What puzzled me was he didn't seem like a guy taking his dead dad home to bury? I wonder if their reasons for being in Sydney and heading to LA are the same as before for all of them? Seems to be the case for some of the characters. (Sun, Jin, Kate, Locke, Sayid definitely) But Hurley's Mr Lucky Guy now so is it possible he wasn't in Sydney to find out about the numbers? Is it possible Sawyer didn't kill someone? His con man antennae are in high gear though cuz he paid a lot of attention to rich Hurley. Stuff's all wonky. Shannon decided not to come back with Boone. Desmond's there. Charlie decides to kill himself. Locke lied about the walkabout. Michael will be seen without Walt though that doesn't mean Walt's not with him. Claire will go into labor early. Please tell me the dialogue I couldn't hear wasn't Juliet saying she was pregnant!! eta - I couldn't hear some of the conversations with Ilana. Did she ever say she was Jacob's daughter?

FeliciaM7 wrote:Maybe he isn't lying. Perhaps in the AltUniverse, Locke didn't misrepresent himself to the tour company, and they were willing to make accommodations for him to do a special walkabout? Just tossing out an idea, BTW, not necessarily saying that I subscribe to the notion. |

The preview shows Sawyer talking to UnLocke, and that looks new. And as far as what Jack did...well, it was Daniel who kept telling him to do it, not Locke. You can blame Locke for a lot of things, but not that one. |
