I thought Echo was maybe too far below ground to change back? She stayed way underground, and so did Alpha, I thought. I did wonder why they had Little Caroline say she gets to start over if she isn't going to grow up as Caroline. Killing Ballard was realistic, people die in battles, and it was a way for Echo to be forced to deal with her feelings.

They have to stay underground in the Dollhouse for a year to protect them from residual effects of the explosion. For Sierra and Victor it is because if they don't they will forget their son. I didn't see E1 so I am not sure about little Caroline. I assumed she was just some random little girl that they imprinted with Echo or Caroline to help out. She was going to get wiped and be just some little girl again. Anyway Dollhouse was enjoyable enough but I am looking forward to Doctor Horrible 2 and whatever other cool stuff Whedon has to offer. Just stay the fuck of network Joss!

Alpha went above ground, so he was going to get 'reset' - back to the "Ted Bundy" in the making as Boyd called him. lol He'd not killed anyone yet when they got him as an active, just kidnapped a woman an sliced her face ala Whiskey and Victor. The To Remember wall was part of E1, I think it was more "to remember who we are if we get whiped" and not "remember those who died"

Posts: 13615 (01/31/10 07:07 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I watched the penultimate ep. Hollow Men and Epitaph pt. 2 in one sitting last night and am absolutely blown away. All the bitching I had about Whedon not being able to keep his storyline straight is gone -- I wuz wrong. When Boyd got revealed as the head honcho, suddenly WHAM! everything made sense. I actually think Hollow Men was the better ep. The post-apocalyptic stuff was fine and terrific, but the current timeline doings of them taking down Rossum was Buffy/BSG territory. Best evil corporation just desserts sequence since Sydney took out SD-6. I'm going to catch up on the thread, but if his hasn't been addressed: did Adelle send the go phrase to Mellie or was that a recording? I wonder if she caved in to Boyd. Also, was Caroline actually imported into Echo? I'd hate to think that she died when the little girl -- best badass 7 year old girl in the history of television, btw -- got wiped.

Her interior wrestling with Echo's issues later on was excellent, and season 1 Eliza's ability to adopt the different personae was fine, especially for an action chick actress. Enver Gjokaj wound up out-acting everyone on the set -- the real breakout star I hope. (And yes I had to google him to figure out how to spell his last name.)

I guess I didnt catch why they were staying underground for a year before. So Alpha wanted to go back to the beginning of him being a psycho? Now Echo isnt alone anymore now that Ballard is always with her? I still think that is creepy.
