Remove this ad It was an amazing thing to see the reactions on the kids faces when they saw the baby. I know that their main feeling was sadness over the state of their sister, but secretly you have to hope that they realize that even though there is no guarentee with having only 1 child you ensure your childs health, it is a big chance you take when your children start numbering double digits. People are not meant to birth litters of children.

People are not meant to birth litters of children. Technnically she hasn't had litters, Kate plus 8 and Octomom did though. The most she had at the same time was twins I think. I thought the episode was very sad. Poor little baby.

Posts: 44 (02/01/10 09:03 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Some years ago, a girl I worked with had a baby who was born 4 weeks prematurely and had to be in a NICU for about a week. She snuck me and a couple other co-workers into the ward to see the baby the day after he was born. He was 5 pounds which is tiny but compared to some of the other babies there, he was gigantic. I mean, you literally could not imagine where they could find to stick tubes and needles into. The other babies were that small. I was fascinated by the whole thing, but the other girls were very upset So I can understand the Duggar kids' reactions.

I have been catching up with episodes (hadn't watched since last season)... and I am all aboard the "Save Jessa" train. She seems like the Duggar that will get in the most trouble. She's the best looking... wears the most makeup... seems the most normal (especially in her clothing style... which seems to be teetering to the edge of stuff her parent would disaprove of)... and seems like the Duggar who has a mind of their own. That girl is going to break out VERY soon... just watch

I've also felt (read: hoped) that Jessa might break free. It's between her and Jinger at this point. Speaking of Jinger, is it my imagination or have we seen less of her than in previous seasons?

And we’re really thrilled that she’s breathing room air. She’s not having to have any oxygen support, which is great. And she has taken some feedings by bottle now, which is a good thing... She’s just made lots of progress and she recently marked 100 days old — we celebrated 100 days, that’s a great thing!" The family will remain in the home they're renting in Little Rock — near the hospital — until they get the okay to bring Josie to their permanent home in Tontitown, Ark. The baby's homecoming has been filmed by TLC and will air as a special on Mother's Day — May 9 — at 8pm EST.

I found an interview with Michelle on Beliefnet, and she updates Josie's condition: Update on Josie How's little Josie now? Last I heard, she was released from the hospital, but then had to return. Is she still there? Josie was released from the hospital on April 6th weighing 4 ½ pounds. She returned two days later due to some digestion issues. She is currently in the hospital where doctors are running test to determine her tummy problems. Other than that, she is doing great and has just reached the 6-pound mark!

I know she's a preemie, but something about her face looks off. Not sure that it could be Down's Syndrome, but ... it just doesn't look quite right.

Granted there aren't jobs or school to worry about. Michelle does speak in a very loving tone and was so anxious to hold Josie. So different from Amanda S with her preemies.

I saw a commercial for the homecoming episode the other day and thought the same. Her face looked really messed up. My mom maybe caught a glimpse for about 5 seconds and she said does their baby have down's syndrome? Something's not right. She doesn't just look like a preemie, she looks deformed in some way.
