Brian underestimated Clay's social game and for good reason. He was an absolute asshole on Chuay Gahn to everyone (Ghandia targeted Clay over Ted after Grindgate, that says a lot), and there was no way Heidik could have predicted he'd get along so well with Sook Jai. While I would have much rather seen Clay or Helen win, Brian played the perfect game. Also, the people in Thailand were no worse players than any of the mactor filled casts of recent seasons.

You don't vote for people just because you don't like them. They didn't like Eliza when there were seven, but they still needed her vote. They liked Chad more than Eliza in the final 8, but they still voted him out. Just like they liked Chris more than Eliza in the final four, but they still would likely have voted him out.

But the drop in minorities in recent polls shows either (1) their high placement last year was based on cheating (2) there's been a sharp decline in the number of minority-loving posters. I think there is a blacklash against the women dominating the last popularity poll in LTS, so somebody was sabotoging female winners.

I found this more significant: Players With A Generally Unfavorable Reputation (Or For Their Game) At Sucks That Were Most Hurt By The Negative Votes (i.e. Most Underrated): J.T. Thomas - 7 place difference Yul Kwon - 6 Amber Brkich - 5 Todd Herzog - 4 Vecepia Towery/Jenna Morasca/Stephenie LaGrossa (Guatemala)/Danni Boatwright - 3 7 winners here, all of whom preformed significantly better in the LTS poll and last edition of this one. Seems more likely that somebody wanted to boost a certain winner's chances over all the others. Best Player Ever Vote Leaders: Richard Hatch - 10 Parvati Shallow - 9 (two season total. 2 + 7) Not suggesting anything with this but at 2 people voting Cook Islands Parvati the best player of all time. But this mostly matches the general impression of the LTS Sucks poll. It's now clear that female contestants who were in all female alliances or were critical of any male contestant are now instant favourites in these polls. Hence Ami and Deena scoring far above where they should be, amongst others.

Twila/Scout approach Eliza and discuss the vote, that Chris is a snake and he doesn't deserve to make the end or they make the point that he could beat them in a physical Immunity at the F3. Eliza probably thinks it's going to be strictly endurance and knows she can beat Scout and probably assumes that she can beat Twila too, another older female. I think Eliza would have joined them to vote off Chris. It would be worth it to risk dealing with a pair in the F3 when you can get rid of someone who would beat you in the finals, because if Eliza keeps Chris and ends up F2 with him, he gets Sarge/Chad/Twila/Scout easily. Especially since I think Eliza would have had a good shot of beating Twila/Scout. The guys would never vote for Scout, neither would the girls except for Twila, and Leann/Julie/Ami likely vote for Eliza, Scout for Twila and the guys are up in the air, and based on how pathetically bitter Sarge was, he'd probably vote for Eliza and she wins. But Eliza posts here so I'm sure someone can find her and ask what she would have done.

Unfortunately that's true. The Eliza\Twout mutual hate meant that Chris inherited Ami's power position as soon as Leann\Ami left. But Twout could only win against each other. Sarge hated them, and so did most of the younger women after the F7 betrayal. They may have once been marginally more well-liked than Eliza, but not after burning Leann, Ami, and Julie.

Brian played assuming it was a final two and got a final two. It could just as easily have been the other way around, and both FTCs were final threes, and then the result would've been different for both Brian and Cirie. I think Brian would win either 4-2-1 or 3-2-2 had he made the finals (with Helen MAYBE giving Jan a vote out of spite to B/C). Also, as far as assumptions go, there's a good chance (though I can't prove this) that the players from early seasons like Thailand were at some point informed by the producers that there WOULD be an F2. Brian likely wins in either situation regardless though. While Cirie did not have the luxury of knowing F2 or F3, a flaw in her game was playing it that she wasn't able to win when it turned out to be an F2.
