Yup, Season 5 was Ali's season.
The Pride! guys were absolutely horrible, but I did enjoy seeing Bob totally stack the teams in his favor and yet he still lost again |

What's up with Tuesday? A repeat, then a new episode?

I can understand that they will want something good in that spot (10-11) evetually, it just seems odd that they push the new BL into that spot when all of the other spots this week at 10pm are new epis of Leno.VTRealityAddict wrote:Lurking Larry wrote: |

Goddammit. I was just thinking to myself "at least I can watch the first half of Biggest Loser tomorrow." Lol @ NBC thinking I'd pick fatties crying over Lost.

The showing of The Biggest Loser at 9 to compete with Lost is a pretty narcissistic move on NBC's part. I mean really.

I was a big Jillian fan. So I got Jillian's 30 day shred......man she sucks. It's a decent, though very ordinary, workout - but she is pretty dry and blah and the muzic sucks. Generic, on-hold music. I'm not a big DVD exercise person, but I would like to try other people. Can anyone recommend a good dynamic exercise person/program?

Sorry, NBC, I don't stay up after 10. BL will have to get in line on my DVR. I would've watched it live at it's regular time. Why not try to hook viewers in with an hour of new stuff before the new Lost starts?

Homemade (by me) BBQ Chicken Pizza tonight and salad.
Hopefully Jillian will be doing a lot of yelling tonight (preferably at Melissa) |

Suzy wrote:Felt like I should chime in ... I haven't seen Jillian's 30 Day Shred - but I use Turbo Jam videos and I love them. You've probably seen the infomercials for them on late night TV ... the instructor and her crew are fun and get really into the sessions and the music is good (Baby Got Back, Mama Said Knock You Out, among others). I can burn about 600-700 calories in a 45 minute session ... helped me fit into my wedding dress last summer! :) |

Music wise there is really nothing there, but the program itself kicks your ASS. I was dumb and quit, but I had lost about 30 pounds and 10% bodyfat. It is a hard program but every day is different (chest and back/cardio/arms/legs/yoga/etc). I want to start again but can't until I'm back at home (currently on a 2nd floor apartment at school and you jump around a lot.......if you live on an upper floor it's probably not for you). The trainer (Tony Horton) is very energetic, but after awhile he became annoying to me.....I guess it just depends on what you want in a "trainer". You sound you want someone energetic and he definitely is. Regarding Jillian though, I find it funny that out of her and Bob, she is the one marketing herself more (tapes/pills/etc.). It seems to contradict with what she preaches IMHO. |

P90X is the way to go. Several of my friends who were avid gym goers are now staying home to work out with Tony. It's weird! These were hard core gym people who don't even have any weight to lose. Yet they're all raving over P90X. When they do ahow up I can see the difference immediately. They are much more toned than they used to be. They want me to buy into it (it's a multi-level marketing thing) but I don't want to. You can buy the DVDs without doing the MLM thing though.

^^Great - sounds like what I need -I don't want to lose weight - just more tone.
I'll have to check it out! I just quit my gym. Bored with it, and just kind of icked out with sharing machines with sweaty, drippy people ;) |

This is my first season watching Biggest Loser. Wow, is that Jillian a sadist. And Bob tries so hard to be tough, but he's the "good cop" to her "bad cop," isn't he? |
