Wow. I'm disgusted. I truly thought better of you, Astro Kim is #2 only because she was just playing for the next round, not to actually win. oh yeah, because Sierra was hardcore playing to win the entire time

Although Kim is epic in her own sense, I'm kinda glad that Sierra is getting such high honours! Sierra <333 My favou female from Tocantins, and #2 overall from the season =D And JSB, Sierra was playing to win, but when Brendan got blindsided, she shifted from game mode into entertainment mode, without changing who she was as a person! That's what I call 'so real, so fierce' *fans self* <3 astro <333 |

![]() 01 SIERRA REED Survivor: Tocantins, 7th Place For being such a boring season, Tocantins had a lot of characters I really liked (Sierra, Debbie, Candace, Spencer, all of who appeared on this list). Anyway, Sierra is the missing Hero on the Heroes tribe. I'd go so far to say that Sierra is the biggest hero on Survivor ever. While JSB is puking his brains out, let's recount how awesome Sierra is and what her journey was like. Sometime a year or two ago, the casting directors had 15 people picked out and realized they need one more mactor. When prompted what to do, Lynne shouted "TACOS!" and thus she went to the closest taco stand in hopes of recruiting the first person she saw standing in line. Lucky for everyone, this person was most likely Sierra Reed. Sierra undoubtedly has the funniest and most notorious method of casting ever, as a mactor/recruit at a fucking taco stand. The Myspace recruiting for Kelly C. and Becky, are just stupid, and the Whole Foods in Santa Monica isn't that funny, but recruiting someone at a taco stand? The idea is just so lol. "Hi, could I please have 3 hard-shell tacos with sour cream?" And then all of a sudden you turn around and Lynne Spillman is like, "Do you want to be on Survivor?" There should be an entire season of people recruited from a taco stand in LA. And knowing how the casting directors work, this wish might not be impossible. Or maybe Survivor: Tacos vs. Burritos? Sierra was one of two blonde models on that season, and I can't remember the name of the other one (lol jk it was Sydney but who cares?), but she stood out a lot more because in her pre-season bio and interview she stated she loved modeling not because of the actual line of work and what went into it, but instead because it gave her the opportunity to travel and experience new things in new places, and I 100% identify and agree with this. The world is so huge, we are so small and I really respect Sierra for doing whatever she could to see the world in whatever way possible. I knew she would be playing for the experience and that is muy importante to me. Anyway, so the season starts and Sierra is immediately one of the stars of the premiere. She tells us in a pre-opener confessional that she's sick with strep throat (probably from lack of tacos, so sad) and then her tribe supports her by... voting her out? Sierra becomes an immediate underdog, especially compared to Sandy who is seen as wacky and more deserving of being voted out and not long for the game in the first place. Sierra goes to camp alone and instead of looking for the HII like a selfish gamebot, she works hard at the shelter and even ends up making the first fire (which was not shown in the episode, fucking editors). Sierra's premiere was a glorious CPP4 and she was the #1 Edgic pick for 3 out of the first 4 episodes. Speaking of Edgic, Sierra's edit is one of the best ever. She has a strong opening string of CPP4-CP4 and then goes down a little to MOR2 and then has 5 straight UTR's. When it's time for her story to pick up again, she ends with a OTTM5-OTTM4. I can't think of any edit like this, with a strong beginning and a strong ending but virtually nothing in between. This makes Sierra a memorable character though, because people knew her from the beginning and her UTR's still had some depth and she pretty much always at least got a confessional. Anyway, it might be speculated that during this UTR streak, Candace's post-show interviews about Sierra were correct: "She was neither here nor there." lol Candace said that Sierra walked around trying to make crafts and talked about people she knew and I find that awesome. I love that Sierra didn't really give a shit about anyone and what they thought of her and just wanted to play the game her own way. And even when people continued to turn on her and lie to her and she knew she was next, she still played the same way regardless. Sierra is the ultimate Survivor hero because she was dealt an unfair hand immediately and tried her hardest to overcome it but it never paid off, to no fault of her own. People claim she was whiny and annoying and like a 5 year old, but who cares? Every single person has negative attributes no matter what. She was very misunderstood in the eyes of her tribe and they never really gave her a fair chance. When they tried to re-capture her and convince her to join up with them again, Sierra wanted no part of it and this totally pissed Coach & Debbie off. Coach & Sierra had a heartfelt conversation with sappy Disney music in what is probably one of the most OTTPP scenes in the show's history, with Sierra asking for mercy as "the kind enemy". This really stuck with me and I'm a music producer and I even named one of my productions, "The Kind Enemy". Anyway, Sierra pissed Debbie off which was lol and Debbie took Sierra out of the challenge that Sierra could have easily won (the shuffleboard one), and soon after Sierra was sent home, not after the Tyson blindside in which she was completely shocked as well and her reaction was completely lol. Sierra had no problems for calling people out because they did the same thing to her and she wanted to play with integrity, loyalty, with a good attitude and being true to herself and appreciating the experience. Of course gamebots, Dragonslayers, overrated F2 contenders and former R&B superstars did not agree with this and Sierra was always on the outs just for being herself. Some of you might know this but I was recruited (not at a taco stand but through a Yuku PM, I know, same thing) by Poody to play in Stranded and I chose Sierra and we both agreed on it. Playing Sierra gave me even more of an appreciation for Sierra because I was completely 100% myself the entire time and yet I was also completely convincing as Sierra. I know I'm a guy, but I would now say I am easily most similar to Sierra out of anyone on Survivor. Re-watching her in action, we share similar reactions, mannerisms, opinions to things, viewpoints, even our accents are kinda similar. I tried to honor Sierra by playing without strategy and just being myself and doing what I wanted and that's how Sierra would have wanted it (lol). Anyway, for being such a dynamic, amazing, controversial, memorable character and most likely the biggest hero ever on account of being herself, doing nothing wrong and always fighting to stay alive through no fault of her own, Sierra is my #1 of all time. Sorry Kim! |

There really is a Santa Claus.
I wouldnt go as far as saying Sierra is my favorite of All Time, but she is definetly one of the top 10. I loved her from the first time I saw her name, Sierra. I knew I would like her and I did throughout the entire season. I wish she was on HvV instead of Amanda the borewhore. Tragic. </3 <3 Sierra, <3 this list, <3 Astro |

Your write-up was beautiful, astro! Her final two episodes are some of my favourites, if only because of how dramatic her conversations with Coach are. I loved how she threw everything Coach said to her ("you voted for me so fall on your sword"), back in his face. And that came after the most epic "reverse blindside" ever. Other Sierra moments I loved that you didn't mention: - Sierra initiating the alliance between herself and Brendan (because he didn't vote for her), and thus, becoming part of the exile alliance - Pre-show, Sierra studied the wild plant-life, so she knew which had medicinal properties (perhaps how she cured her illness) - Attaching her HII clue to the back of treemail, tricking Erinn when she went to look for the idol - Being able to think quickly on her feet (the fire pit, checking if everyone's collecting water before she speaks to Brendan) - Having some of the most epic insider clips ever <3 - Post-show, being dubbed by Coach as "the oracle" in his dragon-slaying fantasy world, where everything she predicted before she left came true in the end-game - Staying true to herself and refusing Coach and Debbie's offer, exposing Coach as a liar - Being in the top 3 for the fan favourite award in Tocantins And I honestly thought that the season died after Sierra left because she brought all kinds of drama, dynamic personality and strategic options. The one thing that always bothered me about her elimination episode is how at the beginning of the episode, after Tyson was blindsided, when Debbie/Coach are handling the blindside well, Stephen says something like "It worried me because I would rather have an honest blow-out than someone secretly plotting and scheming." And then when the choice came between outspoken, honest Sierra and shrewd, crafty Debbie, they voted out Sierra |

- Attaching her HII clue to the back of treemail, tricking Erinn when she went to look for the idolThe Erinn fantard in me must correct this statement. Erinn said she wasn't tricked because the clue said walk 10 paces, which led to tall, undisturbed grass, which wouldn't be there if the producers buried an idol. It was a great idea on paper, though. |
