I really like Rachel, but I'm not sure how she won given how bad her dessert apparently was. It was the only dish the judges didn't seem to like. I guess her appitizer and main dish were really something special and were enough to give her an edge. :shrug

i liked them both, so it was sad to see Jenny lose. and my god, her skin turned so red i thought she was going to burst into flames!
Rachel's dessert did look unpleasant, but her main course looked really tasty. those eggs were perfection! |

Kudos to the editors for not making it obvious. Rachel never seemed like a front-runner at all...

total disagreeance. I thought Jenny should have won. Rachel will not make anything with this win. Jenny would have gone to culinary school.

Then Jenny should run for her life. I think she had enough of his bossing around. What an annoying fuck.

I thought traffic enforcement cameras were independently owned and couldn't be used in court? Maybe that's only in Georgia...

I know in Texas, it's a civil penalty if your caught on a traffic camera. but maybe not showing up for your civil case can cause a warrant to issue. dunno really.

Turns out Beau was busted by a traffic enforcement camera back in January -- but he claims he never got the ticket in the mail because he just moved in to a new house with Tawny Kitaen. Tawny Kitaen... Isnt she the chick that beat up Chuck Finley. I have a feeling Beau will be featured on TMZ again very soon. |

Season two just confirmed! No exact start date; it just says 1st quarter 2011, but if it goes according to S1, it'll be an early January premiere, between the end of Next Iron Chef, the holidays, and the start of Next Food Network Star in 2nd quarter.
Guy who boiled a chicken whole! Please re-apply for the show! |

Season 2 starts Sunday, January 2nd! Robert Irvine replaces Beau, but Annberrelle is back!
http://www.foodnetwork.co...ks-in-america/index.html Fuck. Donatella is one of the judges at the finale this year. Fuck! |

Cousin Oliver wrote: I am so happy Robert Irvine is there.. I really like him. I can't believe Food Network now has a show with TWO hosts I like. Wasn't Robert Irvine bounced from Dinner Impossible because his resume was one big lie? I could swear I read that somewhere. It doesn't matter to me because I still like him and think he can outcook and out entertain 80% of the hosts on FN. The sneak peek at the auditions on the home page is very funny.. LOVE when the table collapsed.

It's true about Robert Irvine and they tried to replace him w/Michael Symon but the fans liked Robert so he came back and the show was extended to an hour.
Why does Food Network insist on using Donatella Arpaia as a judge? She has a narrow palate and is very biased. The thing is this is the WORST chef and just completing a 3 course meal is a victory of sorts. |

How do they check that their worst cooks really are bad, and aren't just good cooks pretending to be bad to get on the show, and then fake their improvement by just cooking like they actually do ? |

Hey, has anyone seen any commercials advertising the new season? I'm curious. I don't feel like watching Food Network 24/7 to watch for them. (I did all the graphics on the promo campaign.)

I will definitely watch now that Robert Irvine is on. I miss watching that Dinner Impossible show of his.
