That ^ Plus she needed to let them know that she did hit the bomb so there'd be no questions of "Did it just not go off?".

I'm holding out hope that Juliet and Sawyer find each other in 2004 and go have a cup of coffee together dutch. I'm sure I'll be disappointed.

Ugh, why couldn't they have killed off someone useless like Jack instead.

I just want to say that I'm sad they had Juliet die, and am hoping that she somehow isn't really dead.
Quite a reversal from my original feelings when this thread began. |

I just want to say that I liked Juliet from the start and am sad she's gone. That's all I got.

Your wish just might come true. EM will be in at least one episode towards the end of the series. She doesn't have a filming date yet so I'm guessing it might be close to the finale, if not the finale. |

I think she was talking to Sawyer. Juliet realized that the reset worked when she made the comments about getting coffee. Watch the scene and I think you'll agree. I think Juliet thought that she and Sawyer had a chance to be together some other way.

I hated seeing Juliet "die" a second time and watch poor Sawyer go through all that again.
Sorry for the Jack lovers around here, but I was right there with Sawyer in his blaming Jack for this mess and wanting to kick his ass and/or kill Jack for what happened. When will Jack learn that he can never do anything right the first time and should just shut up and quit trying to be a "hero"? Because of his "heroics" he went and ruined Sawyer's great new life, killed Juliet and killed Sayid. |

Jack has good intentions. Can't say the same for Sawyer when he conned all kinds of people out of money and might have caused suicides (just like his own parents), he killed an innocent man, squished Hurley's froggie, put Charlie up to fakenapping Sun, then offered a junkie drugs as payment.
I love Sawyer, too. I just don't understand why he's so damn perfect and never hated. I think people who don't like Jack will never like him no matter what. No objectivity. And CINDI, don't say I'm not objective. |

If Jack hadnt carried the load to make sure the bomb went off at the swan hatch, the electromagnetic build up there would have exploded, and destroyed the island, sending it underwater like we saw in the other timeline version. I dont think making sure Sawyer lived with Juliet in Dharmaville for the rest of their lives is the number one priority here *rolleyes* |

Because Sawyer admits he's a con artist and is self-loathing enough to admit he's a shitty person. Jack is self-loathing too, but in a different way. When he first debuted, the character was self-righteous and mr. morals, everyone around him constantly disappointed himself because they couldn't live up to his high standard. (He pretty much was doing to everyone else what his father did to him) The character has grown some, but memories linger on. |

phantomkp wrote:Well, we don't know if Jack saved the island. That's very speculative. What he did do is try to explode a hydrogen bomb so he could have another chance with Kate. That was his only motive. He had no idea what the consequences might be if he changed things...only that Daniel said it would work. Whatever that meant.PinotEnvy wrote:Jack saved the island, though. |

lizzo1 wrote:Exactly. An argument could be made that what Jack did is what caused the island to be underwater, since it is underwater in the new timeline that was created due to Jack throwing the bomb down the hole. In my eyes, Jack killed Juliet, Sayid and the Island. All because Kate broke his widdle heart and Jack was vewy, vewy sad. |

Ya never know about those "rash" decisions. Maybe that's how it appears now. Jack wasn't brought on the show to be the village idiot. He's making a difference somehow, though I doubt very many people will give him props even if he died saving Sawyer or something of the sort.
Jack killed Juliet, Sayid, the island, etc? Is anyone even thinking big picture here? I give up. phantom, you can take the floor. ; ) |
