I'm sort of glad to see his cable show sink into ratings hell.

For a few months last year, I was watching Countdown every day, but it gets old fast. Olbermann never has any Republicans on the show, just other Democrats who parrot his own viewpoints. While I may agree with him 90% of the time, it makes for boring television. Limbaugh does the same thing, only with with Republican guests. They're both a couple of blowhards who aren't intelligent enough to engage in an on-air debate with anyone who disagrees with them.

There's nothing wrong with Keith Olbermann that we can't fix with what's right with Keith Olbermann.

I prefer to get my mentally deranged, over-the-top, bi-polar news from Glenn Beck.
He has funny voices and uses a chalk board and the chalk is always breaking when he tries to write something and it's just hilarious! Plus, he has that kewl red phonz and I just have to watch everyday to see if it's going to ring because you just know that one day it is! |

Right. The point is, neither one of them want to participate in a debate they don't control. If Limbaugh sees that a caller is getting the better of him, he can simply hang up.

The best conservative talk show hosts are Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt. Limbaugh is still pretty good until he opens up the phone lines, his callers are unbearable. Beck isn't funny or informative in my eyes. Hannity is a humorless bore, although he is pretty good about getting information out quickly. Michael Savage is sometimes entertaining but rarely informative. There isn't a single watchable or listenable liberal out there, and even most liberals know it.

Last Updated: 4:48 AM, February 4, 2010 Posted: 1:59 AM, February 4, 2010 Has the countdown begun for the end of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann?" With his ratings in free-fall, and his hateful histrionics reaching new highs, even Olbermann's former supporters on the left are tuning out. Bloggers at the Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio noted the uberdork's 44 percent drop in listeners ages 25-54 from January 2009 to last month. "Olbermann's showboat is sinking," one LA Times blogger noted. "Listing in you-know-which direction." Jon Stewart ridiculed him on "The Daily Show" for calling Massachusetts Senator-elect Scott Brown a "racist." "There are creeping indications that the world may not have quite as much need of -- or patience for -- Olbermann and his shtick as it once did," Jeff Bercovici wrote on DailyFinance.com. Olbermann struck back at Bercovici, naming him as one of the "Worst People in the World" and mischaracterizing the Web site as "right-wing."
