Can we not do blasphemous things like compare The Reader to Hannah Montana or act like Vera Farmiga somehow gave a lesser performance than Mariah Carey this year?

I loved both of them in Up in the Air. It's too bad they pretty much cancel each other out of the race though, making what Gyllenhaal the only possible spoiler - since Cruz just won. Mo'nique will be a fine winner and all, but her character was so OTTN that it didn't really resonate with me, especially compared to the Up in the Air gals.
So of the main nominees I haven't seen: A Single Man In the Loop - I'm so pissed I missed this when it was playing nearby The Last Station then in the techie categories: The White Ribbon Harry Potter (sry I saw the first one and threw in the towel) Coco Before Chanel The Secret of Kells (has anyone actually seen this, alol) Il Divo (wtf is this also) Paris 36 |

Was it too much to ask for just one wtf acting nomination? I would have loved to have seen some shit like gerard butler for best actor for law abiding citizen or something of that ilk. Also why the fuck are people bitching about tobey mcguire being snubbed?
