Days has been good recently as long as you fast forward through the Sydney and teen crap.

The new Will recast is awful - so what if it's been one episode.  Will has always looked like Lucas until now.  I had accepted the blandness of Dylan Patton.  Now I have to be bored to tears by the new guy.

Not a big fan of the quick change in direction between Melanie to Viv.  "Oh, she's great."  The next day: "You're right Carly.  I don't really like her."  At least Vivian is having doubts about offing her, which makes things more fun.  Also, the fact Victor is opposed to any killing of Melanie makes the mounting tension more exciting.  It's great we have an end date for the next major move: Valentine's Day.

The Hernandez family needs to be the victims of an all-new Salem Slasher.  Unlike previous times, the killer gets away with it and we celebrate him or her as they stalk and eliminate each one of the annoying clan.

Tom Horton's funeral was delayed at least a week or more.  I predict Maggie will find the body, which will give her character more justification for falling off the wagon.

I guess this makes Maggie the longest running active character and Joe Mascolo the oldest.

Julie was actually there from the very begining but played by a different actress.  I believe Susan Seaforth Hayes came on before Suzanne thought.  Same with Bill Hayes.

My guess who we'll see at the funeral:

Tommy:  very doubtful.  The actor died a long time ago.  I don't even think they've ever mentioned the characters death but he wasn't even mentioned at Tom's funeral.
Melissa and Sarah:  We'll probably get Melissa back.  I'd love it if they finally casted Sarah Horton. Sarah is so needed on the show.\
Marie: I think we'll see the actress return for the memorial.
Bill: doubtful since both actors have passed away.  I can't see them recasting.
Laura:  I'd love it if they could somehow work out a deal with CBS to have Susan Flannery return for an episode or two.  If they do bring back Laura it will probably be Jamie Lynn Bauer.
Mike: doubtfull but I would love it if they brought back Michael T Weiss.  Mike would be a great character to have on the show.  I think Mike & Carly would be really hot.  Michael T Weiss and Crystal Chappell would have tons of chemistry.
Jack & Jennifer:  I have no doubt Jen will be back.  It would be nice if Jack came with her.
Shawn & Belle: Doubtful.  We'll probably get some explanation that they're unreachable while sailing around the world.
John & Marlena:  It would be great to see them esp Marlena who was very close with Tom & Alice.
I'd also like them to bring back Julie's son.  They seem to forget about Julie having a son.
