Remove this ad I watched that episode three times and still don't know why everyone thinks 815 Cindy lost her accent. I heard it? Did anyone else notice how chubby Emilie de Ravin's face was in the cab? She looked like she was really pregnant YES and thank you. I thought I imagined that. I think I even mentioned to someone that her face looked plump. I have no knowledge of Emilie being pregnant though. Yeah, I'm really confused as to who was in the cabin at what time and for what reason if MIB was gallivanting around the island as the monster and Jacob was in the foot. Me too so I try not to think about it and wait for the answer.

Watching a 2nd time, I realized how extraneous the whole 'I had a pen in my pocket, it's gone' lines were -- just seemed like tooo much to say/worry about in the moment, and it was forced to help the less fortunate get it that Kate picked his pocket. I think Sawyer is still a con - he was eyeing up Hurley. He also clearly got it that Kate was a fugitive because he saw the cuffs & smiled, then cut off the cops to let her out. *And I still say a US Marshall would skip straight to the front of customs or through a special area w/ LAPD waiting @ the gate (gee, unless they're saying that they used up all the LAPD on perp-walking Charlie out.). Locke & Bulkhead: Bulkhead seats are the 1st row of seats in a section of a plane - they have greater leg room between the seat & the wall. The most logical position to place Locke in is a bulkhead/window seat or a bulkhead/center of plane seat - they have room to maneuver him into his seat, and he is 'out of the way' & not blocking access to other seats. Obviously as the season goes on we will see the characters evolve a bit more in the new real world. In 2007 the events that are happening really do exist. Locke is dead, Shannon is dead, Boone is dead, Man in Black revealed himself as smokey to Ben, Sayid was dead and came back, etc... The M.I.B. also revealed he wants to get off the island. Clearly this man is feared and if he does get off the island, bad things will happen. Obviously the losties will have to stop this and of course they're going to succeed. Once they do, what's next? I think the 2007 timeline will become irrelevant. There is no reason for it to exist anymore. In essence, the orginal 2004-1977-2007 time line will be undone and erased. Maybe Jacob comes around and says thanks for the help, you can go home now. idk. but the main point is that 2007 will cease to exist by the end of the finale. Then the 5 years prior will be erased. The losties will never have been on the island whatsoever. The new 2004 timeline is the one that will ultimately matter. make sense or a I still not explaining it very well? No, it makes sense...but i think you have it backwards. There is no way the creators will make season 1-5 not matter. This new timeline they are showing us of the 2004 815 landing in LAX....is the original timeline. We are watching what the lives of these characters were before Jacob interfered, changing their lives a bit to conspire to get them on 815 and crash on the island like we saw in season 1. In season 1, we saw these characters react on the island, and then flashback to how their lives were before 815 crashed. In season 6, we will see these characters react on the island, BUT flashback to how their lives were BEFORE and AFTER 815 not crashing! The bomb going off didnt cause this reset and new timelime...what we are seeing was their original lives. Them crashing on the island in season 1 is the reset. The island isnt underwater because the bomb went off and destroyed the island...the island is underwater because the electromagnetic blast at the swan site went off and destroyed the island. The bomb going off SAVED the island...thats was what they were brought there to do. Juliet was right when she said "It worked"...the bomb did go off. And it saved the island. It counteracted the electromagnetic blast that would have otherwised destroyed the island..like we see in the orignal 2004 815 landing timeline. The bomb going off was the incident that we all heard about..set in motion for the hatch to be built and involve button pushing..gave a place for Desmond to stay and cause the 815 crash, etc. Yes jack is starting to get deja-vu of his island life...which is perfectly understandable. We saw the same thing with Desmond. After the other swan hatch implosion, we see desmonds previous life in 1996. And he starts getting deja-vu moments of his FUTURE life on the island..this is because the swan hatch implosion causes this weird mind jumping phenomenon. In this isntance, LAX is the airport, and a representation of a variable in an equation of fate like Faraday was explaining to Jack. There was an episode called "The constant" which is another part of equations...and an episode called "the variable"...for obvious reasons. Which is why the X can mean nothing else but "variable" in the world of lost. :)

I'm pretty sure it's a separate but equal timeline, that was created in 1977. There can't be any "original lives before the intervention of the island", that would be a paradox. Or "It's a Wonderful Life."

Maybe saying the 2007 timeline won't matter is the wrong choice or words. I think that ultimately the endgame lives in this timeline. Once the endgame is completed, what reason is there to continue that timeline? Maybe that timeline is infused with the new 2004 timeline and these characters get memories back of the past seasons. Seasons 1-5 will matter becuase we couldn't have ended up with a new timeline without them. I diasgree about the non-crashing timeline being the original. If it is, then it will slowly re-record over the events that have already happened. From 1977 forward, there has to be a parallel timeline to the one we've come to know, hence it's new. It doesn't mean it's fake or not as good, it's simply new. Sawyer did seem a little too friendly and nice to be the Sawyer that we know just killed the wrong man. What I am interested in is knowing why some still appeared to be the same type of people they were in the other time though. Who stayed the same? Kate, Jack, probably/possibly Sayid. We know that certain people were different and it's not random so I'm curious as to why the people chosen to be different than what we know (or the ones that stayed the same) were chosen that way I just managed to catch that Miles had that weird look on his face sitting by Sayid's body and Hurley asked him "what?" Miles hesitated and just said "Nothing" I am going to assume that he was a bit confused as to why he wasn't "hearing" Sayid when Sayid was supposedly dead (although I am considering that Sayid did actually "die" in the water when he was struggling and then going still and was inhabited while in the water so that when he was taken out he wasn't "dead" any longer)

He transported criminals alone from point A to B, B normally being the incarceration point. On rare occasions 2 Marshals would do a job together, but generally, it was just him. However, with such a long transport, you would think the guy would have back up meet him, but then again, he seemed to be the type that wanted to bring Kate in alone, and might not have requested any.

Remove this ad If we are to view these two storylines as running parallel with some things bleeding over into 2004 (Jack's cut on his neck, deja vu with Desmond), that could explain why Sun hesitated at the airport counter. She had to think about whether or not she knew English because she was having a similar "bleeding" moment. And it doesnt particularly relate to this episode, but Ill ask anyway. Whenever weve seen the smoke monster in previous seasons, hes been able to kill everyone but the Losties + Ben. Assuming he cant touch people who were on the "list," why didn't he touch Juliet when it scanned her? Was it because Kate was with her? Or did "Smock" know Juliet had to stay alive in order for these events to take place?
