I noticed that many of last season's returnees were pretty much ignored after audition week this year. Rose, JD, Jessica Furney and Jason Castro pretty much got shafted once they reach Hollywood week. Has an idol returnee ever gained much success their second, third or subsequent auditions?

Did they show Jason Castro's audition? I didn't even know he had tried out again.
