One of the sob stories that got emotion out of me so I must love her!I actually have to agree with this. I'm typically in full on hate mode for most sob stories but I didn't find hers annoying, although like I said I think she could potentially get annoying in future. I thought her story was touching. Her friend was very young and she didn't mention how she died so I'm guessing suicide. I feel like if she died of illness or suddenly in a car wreck or something they would have milked that for double sob story potential. |

I was curious to how her friend died myself but you know what? I liked that she didn't go into detail. It only proved that she wasn't using her friends death to move one step further like GO CREEP

I think the judges just got TOO MUCH of a Brooke vibe from her, though her voice is quite good and is stronger than Brooke's. There are two problems with her strong similarity to Brooke. First, Brooke's CD didn't sell. Second, do they really want to have ANOTHER contestant have a nervous breakdown on national TV?

She could be hot.
Don't really care about the sob story, but at least they played one of the most simply but painfully beautiful songs ever written - 'I Will Follow You Into The Dark' by Deathcab. That and Transatlanticism are two of the best songs ever written. But I liked her quirky voice and I think she could clean up when they give the final contestants their obligatory 'Style by Express' makeovers. I like her name. I makes me want to clean a sink or better yet, go to Bimini. |

This girl is like some sort of mash-up of past constestants. The "dead loved one" sob story of Gokey, the sobbing of Brooke White, and the charity bikini calendar of Casey Carlson.
But why doesn't she pick a name and stick with it? She's always billed as Vered "Didi" Benami like George "The Animal" Steele, but at least "The Animal" describes Steele -- "Didi" is just a nickname. Is that her SAG name or something? Why does she need to use both? |
