But with a history of violent escapes and fleeing, plus the long transport, you'd think they'd have two guys involved.

The most logical position to place Locke in is a bulkhead/window seat or a bulkhead/center of plane seat - they have room to maneuver him into his seat, and he is 'out of the way' & not blocking access to other seats. Lol, thanks. I imagine they would have given those seats to him if he asked, but if those seats were taken when he got his tickets... I'm just saying there was none of that for me when I was all crippley and flying. Some extra leg room would have been very nice, lol.

Why can you accept one and not the other?

The only reason i dont like that anymore is because the show is going out of its way to make it seem like the bomb blew up, destroyed the island, and allowed 815 to land...and all the new 815 landing off island stuff is their different life because they blew up the bomb. Which means that CANT be whats going on :P I diasgree about the non-crashing timeline being the original. If it is, then it will slowly re-record over the events that have already happened. From 1977 forward, there has to be a parallel timeline to the one we've come to know, hence it's new. It doesn't mean it's fake or not as good, it's simply new. Damon and Carlton have confirmed this with Doc Jensen (a flash sideways). Well, if you think the point of both timelines separating is the 1977 nuke blast..which destroys the island...then you are conceding that Ben cannot be in this new timeline off island right? Cause he was a kid on the island when it supposedly exploded... And "flash-sideways" doesnt necessarily have to mean the timelines are parrallel...I could theoretically call Desmonds mind jumping after turning the fail safe key as a "flash-sideways"...seeing as we see a Desmond in 1996 with deja vu knowledge of his life that hasnt happened yet, as well as a Desmond in 2004 with flashes of his 1996 mind into his current body?

I think we are going to be shown things all season long to make you think they are going to remember something but they wont. I think that timeline is to show us what would have happened if Farday and Jacks plan actually worked. I dont think the bomb is what sunk the Island and I dont think the bomb ever went off. I think that both timelines are going to end with basically the same result. Even though their lives are clearly different then before, fate and destiny are going to draw all these people together to ultimatly get the same result as the other timeline.It doesnt matter what path their lives go on their fate will always be the same. They changed things but the Universe is going to course correct.

In case Felicia doesnt answer...if you dont think the bomb went off, then what do you think happened to that huge destructive electromagnetic burst that was coming out of the swan hatch? The same destructive burst that needed a fail safe key to neautralize... If you think the bomb never went off, then you feel the huge electromagnetic burst that Farady was so worried about..just kinda fizzled out on its own?

The bomb going off wasnt supposed to happened so when it did it created the paralell universe where maybe that energy doesnt exist. I know Farday was saying that what happened happened and they couldnt really change anything but it was also Farday who later said they could change things. He said they were variables who could make choices and change things. So when the person who came up with the what happened happened theory later comes up with another theory going against what he said earlier I no longer believed his first theory. So I think they did change things by blowing up the bomb...but I dont think if you go back 27 years in the past from the Alt timelines people perspectives you will see the bomb going off. I dont thinkt he bomb ever went off during the new timeline. Things are different. I dont think us as viewers are supposed to know why but just that in the new timeline things are different

Whether the bomb did it, or Jacob, or MiB, or Fate or Destiny. There are two different timelines with different things happening simultaneously (wow, I actually spelled that correctly!). There is no change in their original lives, whatever happened happened in that timeline/universe/whatever you want to call it. That's what I'm sayin'.

Plenty of islands in the Pacific have been nuked and they are still there. And real islands' locations don't move around. I believe NotLocke said "it's not an island" at one point. Purgatory? Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Plus Hurley is lucky and Locke didn't appear to be pathetic and defeated but with his little talk with Jack he seemed very accepting and a bit spiritual. Sawyer did seem a little too friendly and nice to be the Sawyer that we know just killed the wrong man. What I am interested in is knowing why some still appeared to be the same type of people they were in the other time though. Who stayed the same? Kate, Jack, probably/possibly Sayid. We know that certain people were different and it's not random so I'm curious as to why the people chosen to be different than what we know (or the ones that stayed the same) were chosen that way I just managed to catch that Miles had that weird look on his face sitting by Sayid's body and Hurley asked him "what?" Miles hesitated and just said "Nothing" I am going to assume that he was a bit confused as to why he wasn't "hearing" Sayid when Sayid was supposedly dead (although I am considering that Sayid did actually "die" in the water when he was struggling and then going still and was inhabited while in the water so that when he was taken out he wasn't "dead" any longer) Right Trixie. A lot of the Losties seem to be different... and possibly have different pasts. Seems Charlie's might have been worse? I'm not so sure Kate, Jack and Sayid are the same. It's possible "what Kate did" is an offense not quite as bad as roasting her bio-father. No ideas about Sayid. Jack seemed like a happier person. Guess we'll see... I am also thinking Sayid died. : / That confuses me because "dead is dead", but Miles couldn't hear/feel him and dude was kinda not breathing for way too long to be alive. They are calling them Sideways World and Island World. Not sure if this supports what you're saying or not... I hope it does. lol

What if Jacob is a smoke monster too. That would explain why Locke said back in Season 1 that what he saw was beautiful and then later on it terrified him. Just a thought.
