Anyone remember the episode where Pyllis took Karen out for a makeover? Didn't Kathy Bates look a lot like those two? (not so much the first time we see her - but more in the second time when she appeared in the video chat).
I wonder if this means that Kathy Bates will be a recurring character this season and Michael will get demoted for a while while Phyllis gets promoted. It would be very sweet to finally see Michael get his comeuppance and one of his bosses finally tell him that he's a fucking useless idiot and never should have been promoted above salesman. It would also be great to see Michael have to eat shit from Dwight for a while. That one episode where Michael fooled Dwight into thinking he had been promoted above Michael has always been one of my favorites. I'd sure love to see move of that. I wonder if Kathy Bates refused to appear in the same shot as the rest of the staff because she has gained so much weight? Maybe she will appear live in the next few episodes? She would be a fantastic match for Michael. I'd so love to see her make mincemeat out of him. Dang! Kathy Bates' page on IMDB doesn't even show her in the credits to The Office. I sure hope I wasn't mistaken about her being in this episode. That was Kathy Bates, wasn't it?

The episode was okay. It had a more serious tone to me. And J/P are sooooo not as charming as they think they are. I love how all the higher managment people at Dunder Mifflin eventually go crazy. |

ok episode, i like kathy bates and thought she was great. i also got a kick out of seeing david wallace making fluffernutter sandwiches; i think that's more an east coast thing and being from northeastern PA especially, it made me giggle.
